This hotel is amazingly unique because you are in effect staying in a museum with boutique, high quality rooms.The local town also has much to recommend it with many historical buildings and friendly locals.

Premier mill is housed in a beautiful heritage  building. The packing room is spacious even with an extra bed. The bathroom is modern with Aesop amenities. Staff are very accommodating and helpful which made the stay excellent. Thank you.

Very good hotel, fantastic rooms and facilities, the below grounds level bar is a very pleasant atmosphere with a large range of drinks and really good food, breakfast at the adjoining dome cafe was also excellent. Highly recommend this place

Quirky boutique hotel beautifully converted.Excellent bed and patio area. Large bathroom but very dark.lighting not so good. Liked the guest refreshment area rather than a kettle in each room. Comfortable seating area in open hall space to use as only one chair in the room.Loved the idea but felt aesthetics have compromised comfort..no hanging rail just random coat hangers on the wall as art! No suitcase holder..narrow bench could accomodate one only. Lighting quite poor throughout room and particularly bathroom. Patio area excellent but stools uncomfortable and table top wood warped. badly.

2 nights enjoying Kattaning old mill

We stayed at The Premier Mill for 1 night as a way to break up our drive from Bremer Bay to Perth. Upon arrival we were confused about where to check in. We asked at the Dome cafe but the staff there were very busy with lunchtime customers. We found Lyn who was very attentive and even assisted in checking us in a little early. We really appreciated that. The room itself was very stylish. A beautiful bathroom with fabulous Aesop toiletries, a large comfortable bed with fine linens and filtered water. There is a fridge in the room which should be named a wine chiller as it has room for 2 bottles of wine and that's all. There is no coffee in the room but there is a guest valet area on the same floor. It contained bodums, coffee mugs, cream and coffee plus a kettle. There was a boiling water tap which was not operational when we were there. This was not ideal but ok. The only question is why not provide in room bathrobes so we can make coffee without getting fully dressed in the morning? We had a cocktail and pizza in the Cordial Bar. It's a great space and the bar tender, I think his name is Johnathan but not totally sure, was great. He even recommended a lovely walk to see the swans. This boutique hotel has some great points and some were meh. I think a dedicated hotel receptionist and desk should just be standard. I would recommend this hotel but see if you can get a good price. It is expensive

For a very grand hotel in this town, it didn’t leave up to our expectations. The hotel requires some maintenance work to improve stay quality for guests. When mentioned these maintenance needs to a hotel staff, it seemed that they knew exactly what we were talking about. So why didn’t these get fixed earlier?

We liked the interior of the whole hotel - using the old and modern look. Very beautiful. Hotel room and amenities are excellent.We did not like the DOME service - bad coffee and the food we had was not on the same standard as what we normally have in Perth.But overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.

An amazing property. The restoration of the old Mill is fantastic.  The rooms very spacious and the linen excellent.  The mini bar fridge is totally useless, not enough room for a punnet of strawberries.  No tea and coffee facilities in the room which is annoying as there is loads of space in the room. Instead you have to leave your room and walk down the passageway  to the 'guest valet' which is a glorified cupboard to make a coffee. No secure parking, only street parking which we were concerned about but it turned out ok. The complimentary books about the Mill and the surrounding area are a nice touch.

The hotel is located in an old mill so it is highlighted by unique features. While the room is spacious it is suited to an overnight or weekend stay but not set up for much longer with no couch, table/chairs and a tiny fridge. The bathroom is modern with a great shower. A lovely hotel for a getaway in a pretty little town.

Friendly staff , good food, beautiful hotel, luxurious bed, pillows and hand wash, body lotion,  shampoo and body wash but just one inconsiderate guest that allowed his door to slam not once but 4 times at 5am in the morning maybe a note on the back of the door asking guests to close it quietly IF LEAVING SO EARLY Please

This was an absolutely amazing stay, the little details, the work that has been done to create this amazing accommodation is fabulous.  Loved everything (apart from not kettle in the room - but one around the corner in the kitchen/valet area).  Wine on tap at the wine bar, gorgeous after 5 meal at Dome.   Great welcome, as builders we really enjoyed looking around.

Fabulous!  Can't wait to go back!

Beautifully renovated old mill, spacious and well appointed rooms.  Historic detail is wonderful.  My husband and I had a 2 night mid week stay at the Premier Mill Hotel to get away from the big smoke.  Would highly recommend for a change of pace with luxurious accommodation.  Would have loved a room with a bath.
