We loved our stay in this magnificent natural setting. What a perfect place to reset. Thank you

Amazing, we stayed 2 nights. Loved the cabin, especially the outdoor bath. Had a few furry friends come visit too. Fire place kept us warm as it was a bit chilly at night. Only thing I would recommend is to have 2 sets of towels as it was a bit hard to get them dry after use.

Absolutely brilliant. The most peaceful place to stay with nature and wildlife right there on the doorstep. This is not a 5 star hotel with room service and in-house movies, this is a place to reconnect with your loved ones and the environment. No TV makes you talk to each other without any distractions. My wife and I laughed about how long it had been since we sat down and ate together with no background noise.   We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone that likes the simple things in life. Well worth the money!

Could not complain, I loved the beautiful outside bath.... up a scenic bush track. Play ground for my 3 year old and the community kitchen was the best!!! My 3 year old toasted marshmallow with her new friends while us parents cooked dinner and enjoyed a wine... than we went back to our tee-pee with heaps of wood and snuggled up in the double bed until we woke too the sunrise. Absolute magic!!!! Owners were also welcoming and helpful. 

Enjoyed the campgrounds, facilities were all nice, outdoor bath under the stars was a real treat. The cabins looked amazing, maybe we'll stau in one of those next trip. Bush and rainforest walks are great.

The last section of the road up is very steep. My 2WD Sprinter van msde it up there ok. 🙂

This is my favourite place to go for a little escape from the world for a few days. 
The campsites are private. The toilets, showers, bushwalks, and camp kitchen are well maintained, there’s a sheltered social fire pit and an outdoor bath, there’s hammocks too! And only 40 minutes from Hobart. Not to mention the lyre bird calls I got to enjoy whilst sitting by my own little camp fire last night! Absolute bliss. 

Best trip and stay of our life. Thank you for making it so memorable. Perfect place to stay with amazing ambience… true flavour of organic nature and habitat. Extremely courteous and hospitable staff. Always there to help and assist. 5/5 Stars.

Our family of three had a beautiful night in Tipee West. Great well equipped camp kitchen and such tranquil surrounds. Loved the short walks and interpretations and great improvements since our last visit 8 years ago. Highly recommend.

Absolutely perfect!!! Everything you need but still in the comfort of the bush. Highly recommend.

Great stay

Just beautiful. Great facilities. So peaceful.

Beautiful setting in Tasmanian Temperate rainforest.  The Teepee was a novel accommodation but very good.  Table   on the verandah (with roof) made for breakfast in the morning air, visited by wildlife ...The road to the Retreat was damaged by the heavy recent rains, but our little car managed the ruts and potholes on the 4.2km dirt road.

Loved the experience of being nestled in the bush with wallabies at our back door. Beautiful caring for country walk with lots of really interesting information about the environment and first peoples. Hosts are super friendly and accommodating. Make sure you arrive in daylight as the steep climb on a dirt road would not be fun in the dark. We managed fine i our 2-wheel drive. Highly recommend if you want to unplug.

Our stay at Huon Bush Retreat more than lived up to the promise of relax, explore, experience, nature! We took in the beautiful views and fresh air and relaxed deeply in the luxurious amenities of the eco cabin. We explored the short and long walks of the forest and experienced the intriguing flora and abundant fauna. And nature spoiled us with cool sunny autumn days.
New owners Michael and Pamela were friendly and helpful hosts ensuring we had everything we needed and answered all our questions. We will definitely come again!

Just what we needed

Wew stayed in TPWest, secluded surroundings, fire was alight before our arrival. the teepee itself is very cosy, with plenty of warm bedding and powered by solar. there is no food or beverages at the property so do sure you come self sustained. the wildlife are super tame and not shy! which was a lovely added concept for us, who are lovers of nature. the walking tracks are stunning and the keepers are hospitable and friendly.

a fairies paradise

I recently booked four nights in a camp-site at Huon Bush Retreats.  We were allocated East Walk-in Campsite, which was absolutely fantastic - very secluded and private but close to amenities.  My daughters and I had a lovely stay, lots of walking around the well established and informative trails and relaxing in a wonderful bush setting.

The camp kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and cooking facilities, and on the one cold night we had the firepit was very much appreciated.  We met many other great, likeminded people/families/travellers which made for a great 4 day holiday. 

The outdoor bath was an absolute treat and well worth the time to fill with water.  Remembering to take a bottle of wine and snacks is a good idea if booking the bath for a couple of hours.

Will definitely be back again - maybe to try one of the cottages in winter.

Excellent Bush Retreat

Stayed here two nights in our campervan to escape the rain. Stumbled upon it on Wikicamps and were delighted to find it was every bit as good as reviewed. 
Spacious, well drained site. Lovely facilities including clean tidy showers and well equipped camp kitchen with fire pit and wood.
The walks are fab with well maintained tracks and informative signage. 
The outdoor bath was a really welcome surprise and was a great way to warm our bones. 
Great place to stay, reasonably priced, well worth the drive up.the steep approach hill. Can't wait to stay again!
