A great little lodge with nice friendly owners, spacious rooms.and affordable. Why stay anywhere else? And you are so close to the waterfront. Beds are comfortable, there is an ensuite, coffee making facilities, TV right in front of.your bed. Perfect place to.stay

Lucky I didn’t look at the reviews before booking! Our group of four was very happy with our accommodation. Comfortable beds, hot shower, well equipped kitchen. We stayed 2 nights and Easter bunny even left us eggs when servicing the room! We were able to order takeaway meal from the Kermandie pub which is part of the complex . Very enjoyable roast beef. Would recommend for the budget conscious traveller.

We stopped st the SAS restaurant for lunch on the way down to Dover. What a great surprise it was. Great setting and very friendly staff. The daily special was blue eye trevella fish and chips. Funnily enough all 4 of us order the dish. 3 pieces of lightly batters fish cooked to perfection and served with a generous potion of hand cut chips.
Worth the drive from Hobart

Great value, great stay

Hobart was totally booked out & this was pretty much our only option.  Four of us stayed in a 2 bed unit for $160 which is reasonable & we were not expecting too much.  Looked nice and clean but the beds are SO old. We always strip the sheets when we leave a place, I wish I hadn't because I don't think the pillow protectors had ever been changed since the day they went on.  Yellow with sweat stains, totally gross. The noisy heater only just did the job. Overall we were happy for 2 nights here but the pillow thing was pretty off putting & they really need to invest in some new beds.

OK for the price

Was very basic and could do with some work....room was freezing had to keep very old heater going all night...thought was part of hotel next door but is not...wished had checked in next door but ok if just want to sleep and go...

Very basic 

First word- disgusting. From the moment we walked in I was disappointed to find that the tariff we paid was far from what the accomodation was worth. 
Not only was the unit run down, outdated and never been properly maintained, the smell was unusual and unpleasant. Most importantly, the mattresses were deteriorating, old and I had the most uncomfortable sleep of my life. The main point of paying money to stay somewhere, is to have a bed to sleep on. This was not a bed, it was a pile of springs with little padding, splitting at the seams and in need of a serious upgrade. There was an "electric blanket" which seemed as though it were from the 1900s and is ready to catch alite at anytime. 
When we inspected the fridge, we found but one 200mL milk carton, even though we paid for accomodation for a family of four. We went down to management to politely ask for some more milk, instantly management said "NO NO NO, I can't do that". We looked puzzled and just said that we wanted some more to make coffees, as a result he gave us one more carton, being very reluctant he called it "emergency milk". There was also no shampoo or conditioner provided. 

Found very large spiders everywhere, four to be exact, one of them being on the back of my neck when I was watching television while sitting on the couch. NOT FUN.

After our first night at this hell hole, we went out and enjoyed the day and then came back to the unit which was untouched: the beds were not made, and the milk, sugar, coffee etc was not replenished, bins were not changed and dishes were not put away (Most hotels include service as part of the tariff, this place obviously does not provide ANY service AT ALL). Very disappointed and disgusted. They certainly do not make their customers feel special, which is why this will be our FIRST and LAST time staying here, and instead would rather stay next door which looks a lot nicer and probably the same price too. Please take this review and others as a warning to not stay here, you will do yourself a favour.

If 0 stars was an option I would throw it at them.

We stayed here while visiting the Huon Valley.  We had pre-booked.  The room was somewhat disappointing for the tariff.  The place needs a fair bit of TLC.  Anyway it served as a base as visited various places in the Huon Valley
