The Bakehouse Motel

A small motel next to the bakery and across the road from Big Merino, Totally refurbished room and bathroom , spotlessly clean , comfortable beds , excellent bathroom , all necessities present , microwave , cutlery , crockery on request , quite and great value for money . Highly recommended.

We stay at the Bakehouse when staying in Goulburn, location, quality of room, cleanliness and management always makes our stay enjoyable. The room size is perfect for our needs, linen, towels and amenity is of high standard. 

Position is close to local eateries to help an early return to travel.

Extremely clean and comfortable room! A very spacious room that contained a comfortable double/queen bed as well as a single bed AND a small table and 2 chairs. The bathroom had thick fluffy towels and was newly refurbished with a large shower head, great water pressure and toiletries provided. 
It was a cold night when we arrived but the heating unit warmed the room really quickly and was so quiet. Extras provided included an iron and ironing board, really helpful information folder and great device-charging unit to plug multiple devices into. Staff member at Reception was so friendly, welcoming and helpful - a very homely atmosphere and experience all round! 
A bonus is the bakery next door - Trappers. Opens at 5.30 am and has a huge range of food and beautiful coffees for travellers like us. We had an early breakfast in front of their open fire before continuing with our travelling. 
Would definitely recommend staying at Bakehouse Motel - and would definitely stay here again. L.P.

wow we loved this motel. the room was just lovely clean and very comfortable the beds great. The best part of all there was a bakery attached to teh motel so in the morning we just walk out your room and across the courtyard and into the bakery. it opens at 5am each morning. the choice of things to eat in there was so delicious. we would definitely stay there again. The big Ram is across the road and a service station and the soverneir shop i think it was called merino gift shop.

Very spacious room, king sized bed which were comfortable and large bathroom and shower. The place was spotless and booking and check in was very easy.

This was a stop over for us as we travelled from Melbourne to Sydney. Located close to the Hume, a more than reasonable price point and within close proximity of a range of simple eateries made this an easy choice.

The room itself was excellent. Spacious, comfortable beds, quiet and with a beautifully hot shower. Tick in every box for me!!!

Decided to break our trip going north from Melbourne in Goulburn and needed a one-night stopover. We chose the Bakehouse Motel based on (1) proximity to the Hume Highway; (2) price and (3) Tripadvisor Reviews and pictures. We were not disappointed. Yes, the rooms are basic with a small TV and not much in the way of ambience, but everything was clean, the hot water was hot and the beds comfy. 

Interestingly we could hardly hear any highway noise and it didn't impact on our stay. The manager was very friendly, and the Bakery next door was a great place for breakfast. The city centre is only a 5-minute drive and there are plenty of places to eat.

The room was spacious and the bathroom is quite large, shower pressure was lovely.. the bakery nearby has delicious cakes especially the custard tart yum yum and nice and quiet as well. Lovely area with lots to do.

Well maintained property, friendly staff and GREAT facilities.  Attention to details included the necessary items to make yourself at home (ironing board, extra pillows, chairs and a place to visit outside of the rooms!!  )!  A jewel and MY kind of accommodations with some character!!

Goulburn was our last stop on the trip home from Queensland and we were very happy with the Bakehouse Motel. A lovely warm welcome from the friendly and efficient Mick was a great start and our nice, comfortable room was warm for our arrival too.  When I realised we didn't have a toaster Mick delivered one in record time. The bed was comfy and had an electric blanket which I always appreciate in winter! Interesting photographs decorate the walls. Nice sized bathroom, soft towels and good amenities. Maybe not the greatest pressure in the shower but this did not detract much from our overall good impression!  Good value for money so we are happy to recommend and would return on our next trip. Excellent photo opportunity with the Giant Merino Ram right next door too!

Wonderful Motel Experience!

Lovely big room (No. 20), quite comfortable, good shower and well equipped.  New managers were very friendly and just settling in.   Lovely bakery (Trappers) on site and plenty of other eating places nearby.  Price a little bit dearer than some on our travels. The only suggestion I have is that the towels be upgraded as they were very on the thin size.  Very easy to get to and also very easy to get back on the highway when leaving.

Warm Welcome to Great Stay.

Stayed one night while driving through NSW. We were greeted by very friendly staff and given some all important milk for a cuppa after a long day, always a big plus for me! Room was basic but spotlessly clean. Bathroom shower was strong and hot and the bed was super comfortable. This place had everything we could have wanted. On a plus side the bakery on site opened at 5.30am to allow us to grab a coffee for our journey home. Have nothing negative to say, would definitely recommend and I’d happily stay here again.

Great place

The room was about 50% larger than many double rooms with a writing desk and breakfast table, each with chairs as well as normal inclusions. The spaciousness was wonderful. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Staff were welcoming and from our arrival time, correctly guessed our name! On a return stay a week later we were recognised from the previous visit. The motel is located next to the famous Trappers Bakery about 500m from the southern exit for Goulburn from the motorway.

Had to travel to Melbourne and back from the mid north coast. The Bakehouse Motel is roughly located mid way so is very convenient for us to stay overnight, While only a 3 1/2 star motel I have always found the rooms to be very clean and reasonably priced. Beds are comfortable and the manager is friendly and helpful if needed

The bonus for early leavers is the bakery next door which opens at 5:30 a.m. 
The egg and bacon roll and coffee hits the spot.

Good value place to stay

Saturday night and not long after a lockdown we decided to drive from Melbourne to Sydney and stop one night on the way. The roads weren’t busy but after 3.30 the No Vacancy  signs were going up.  We pulled up to the giant Merino for petrol and saw The Bakehouse Motel across the road. It looked well positioned, next to a cafe and near to a few food outlets .

Luckily, we got the last room next to the Bakehouse. Checking in was friendly and straightforward, the room was adequately equipped, very clean, good wifi and extremely quiet. The beds were comfortable and our sleep uninterrupted. 
The Bakehouse next door is open 5.30am to 8.00pm
