Lovely small motel with new owners now run by nearby WRLCG The Queen Room was great and modern. All the rooms have been recently renovated since my last stay !! Only 100m from the Club with some of the best food and cold beer ... Staff very friendly ! 

Was a little nervous as I booked this motel under the old management and stayed under the new management. I needn't have worried - the stay was excellent for a motel. Despite a somewhat dated fit out (and some masking tape repair work on one fitting), the room was good value and, as others have noted, very clean. The shower screen was so spotless I had to touch it to see if the glass was there.

All on one level so the motel has reasonable disability access (unsure about door width) and there is plenty of parking. Iron and ironing board available but not in individual rooms. Microwave and bar fridge (with small freezer section) provided. There is no view from the rooms and some traffic noise from the road (but nothing to really disturb you).

A very comfortable stay

Newly renovated rooms close to Club and Lake 

My partner and I stayed here on the weekend very dissapointing I must say, compaired to the old Management. When we first pulled in just after 2 pm looking forward to just checking in and having a cup of tea only to find the reception locked and a note saying we had to go the club to check in. Not impressed.

There is no foxtel as was advertised. Marks on the walls, the only renovation that I can see that was done is the built in wardrobe plonked right in the walkway. The bathroom is old and the basin is all cracked. There was food crumbs on the small bench and the doona had stains on it.
The pool was not very clean and certainly did not look like the photos.

As for staff well there was no staff here at all Duty of Care well there was none.  If you needed something you had to call the club and use your own phone as there was not one provided.

I have worked in this industry and have never worked where there was an un manned reception.

False Advertising

The renovated rooms are beautiful, crisp, welcoming and well appointed. But not beautiful enough for the price. During the early morning hours if your a light sleeper this is not the place to stay as the early morning heavy vehicle traffic is incredibly noisy as the main road is right in front.  I never found the advertised pool, but guessing due to renos its not there. Once checked in however the reception staff are no where to be found if you discover an issue, Apparently she works at the nearby club which it would seem own the motel. To contact reception an unanswered phone number is provided and if you leave a message, the lady appears shortly with your request fulfilled.  I didn't leave a message but my colleague did.  I wanted to know how to access the free advertised WiFi as there was no booklet or instructions in the room which would have been helpful, or even this info was provided on check in. If reception had informed us of the communication channels on check in this would also have been much more helpful.

Hello is there anyone there?

Cost us $150 for a motel that would be lucky to be 3.5 stars way over priced for this standard motel. Old bathrooms and a lot of road noise no one there when we arrived in the afternoon then had to go to the club to book in. Never stay there again.
