Very nice accommodation walkable to all shopping

Once booked accommodation, gave them a call to organise an alternative way to receive the key to the room as was getting into town late. Staff were happy to help out in a respectful professional way.

I stayed in room 11. Comfy bed and pillows, good lighting, warm, and everything you need. Also plenty of parking. Very friendly and obliging owner. Handy right in town so walk to pubs and cafes for dinner.

The lady in the front office was amazing and so helpful with local info. The cleaner was lovely and friendly too. I enjoyed the decor of heritage red and white and the beds were super comfy. I think the shower was my favourite. Strong water pressure, it was like having a massage. For me and my teenage son the only thing bad to say was for our liking it was a little small. It did have everything you could need though, microwave, aircon, tv, small fridge but freezer room was bigger than most motels. Short walk to great chinese food.

I recently stayed at the Amber Motel and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The staff, particularly Ron and Semret, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were always available to answer any questions and provide recommendations for things to do in the area.

The rooms were clean and well-maintained. The beds were extremely comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. Overall, I highly recommend the Amber Motel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The owners Ron and Semret are great and they made sure our stay was memorable. I give the Amber Motel 5 stars out of 5.

We visit Glen Innes 3 or 4 times a year staying  for several nights each time. On this visit we stayed at the Amber Motel in Meade Street. The new owner has his experienced parents managing Amber and what a lovely three days we had. 
*Our hosts were friendly and helpful.
*The bed and mattress were very comfortable.
*Cleanliness was outstanding; no dust lurking around the bed; and the mattress protector, comforter, and blankets were freshly washed.
*Low noise levels enabled good sleep: no highway noise; quiet air conditioner and quiet fridge.
*Fresh smelling room: no drain stink requiring coverup air deodoriser.
*Its a very central to everything motel.
- Something to watch for -  our twin room had a queen and a single bed. The room was well laid out but would be too small for 3 people and we didn't inspect any other rooms.
We look forward to staying at Amber on our next visit in a few months time.

Delightful and so clean

My partner and I broke down an hour away from Glen Innes. The tow truck driver gave us a lift to this motel and proclaimed it to be the best in town. He was not wrong.
Not only did we not have a reservation, we rolled up late, on a Sunday night, that was also Fathers Day. We were cold, wet, dirty and disheveled. The owner took us in right away and gave us the suite for the night at a discounted rate. He helped us with information to do with our car repairs, told us what was open / what restaurants were available to us for dinner that night, and made us feel very welcome after a long few days. He told us not to stress about the check out time the following morning, and to get our car sorted out before we needed to leave for anywhere.
The following morning we were told our car was unable to be repaired and we were unable to get home (6 hours away from Glen Innes). I managed to book a hire car from Inverell, however we had no way of getting there. The owner offered to drive us to Inverell (over a 2 hour round trip for him), in the middle of his work day, and on what was also his and his wife's anniversary! He literally dropped everything he had on that day to help us on our journey home. If it was not for him, we still would not be home.
He truly went above and beyond to help two strangers and I cannot thank him enough.
This goes beyond the standard level of customer service you come to expect from anywhere, and you would not get this in the City.
So thank you, to you, and also your very patient wife, for the kindness and help you provided to us when we were in need.
Thank you for providing a warm and welcoming stay at the motel with everything we needed.
I would recommend this motel time and time again, and I hope this review is able to encourage others to book their stay here.

Second to none

I stayed at the Amber for a week recently. It is a nice place with good old fashioned service. The owners are lovely people who cannot do enough for their guests. One thing I would highly recommend is the breakfast. The toast, bacon and eggs at $10 is a great value!!
You can hear some of plumbing when people in adjacent rooms shower but I don't believe that this is a deal breaker. All the rooms are non - smoking and very clean. They have a toaster, microwave, sandwich maker, kettle, iron etc.

Friendly Owners and Great Breakfast

Last minute decision at 8.00pm to find somewhere to stay. Reception was still open and accomodated us with a deluxe queen room. 
Room was spacious and clean and bed was comfy. Toaster, sandwich maker and toaster was in the room.  
Only downfall was that you could hear your neighbours running water, showering and flushing toilet.

Just a quick overnighter. 

This was the first stop on a journey from North of Brisbane to Tasmania and my first experience of an Australian motel so I did not know what to expect.
 Friendly greeting from the proprietor of this old fashioned Motel but is well decorated and maintained and as it is not on the main road it is quiet !
Room was good with air con,fridge and microwave,kettle and toaster light breakfast was included,safe parking.

First visit to an Australian Motel

Perfect for our overnight stay.  Newly renovated rooms which were neat and clean.  Only critique was the shower screen being too narrow which lead to a very wet bathroom floor. Perfect walking distance to the Main Street which was handy for dinner and breakfast.
