Stayed for 1 night on the way to Hastings Caves. Clean room, and comfortable bed. There is a large fire place in the common area to warm you up while eating breakfast, which was very good! Close to platypus walk, where we did see a platypus swimming around!

Nice bnb with lovely breakfast

My wife and I stayed there for 2 nights. Our room was nice but could have done with a small table and 2 chairs. We had a double bed and 2 bunks. Bed and pillows were comfy. Cooked b/fast was included in the tarif. The place was a boutique B and B. But it served evening meals and alcoholic drinks in the comfortable dayroom, cafe, bistro.At night they had a nice fire going in the fireplace. The food they served was of good quality and well presented. Some people might have had to wait longer than they expected, but like everywhere in Australia staff shortages were a problem. All up,our stay was quite enjoyable.

Cosy two day stay

This quaintly named cafe needs to focus on service. It took ages to get two coffees despite the place being nearly deserted. When it came, the coffee was quite good but the wait rather spoiled the enjoyment.

Needs improvement

What a cosy little gem! The best smelling cafe EVER according to my son. What a beautiful little find in Geeveston for morning tea. Incredible coffee, hot chocolate and mouth watering buttermilk scones sitting
by the fire - thank-you for a wonderful experience.

Best-smelling cafe ever!

My wife ordered a smoked salmon toastie and after waiting for a good while, it didn’t look like any salmon was actually on the toastie. Soon after checking this back at the counter, the cook or chef as she called herself got rather abusive (actually really abusive). The other staff were apologetic but after that type of ‘service’ from the owner of the place… no way will we be eating there again!

What a wonderful little gem this place is. It is positioned well in Geeveston, a wonderful town. There is a pharmacy, supermarket, post office and more. 

Just a small walk away you can take the platypus walk, look closely and you will see them swimming around. 

The manager is Audrey, what a host. Audrey is so accommodating, pleasant and makes you feel very welcomed. 

Sit on the lounge in front of the fire, have a drink at the bar or have an amazing meal (all home cooked). 

The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. This place has everything you need. I highly recommend you spending the time to stay here, even if you’re going through Geeveston, pop in and say hello.

An absolute gem 🐻

The rooms presentation and cleaness was really good.The breakfast supplied was really nice and freshly cooked to order.Would gladly stay again.Geevston proved to be a good base to do Cockle Creek and South Cliff Cape walk, Hastings Cave,Tahune Air Walk,and the platypus walk and spotted a platypus.

Four friends had lunch here.  There was one other couple eating. 
The service was ordinary, slow and vague. The overpriced GOURMET food was edible at best. The first meal came after 20 mins then dribble out with the last one arriving after the first one was finished. Would not recommend this venue for dining.

Poor all around.

Arrived at 610pm and served at 645pm so quick service.  Food was excellent and very tasty. We both have been to lots of restaurants and it’s up there.  Yes the chef is a little quirky but than again it’s adds to the atmosphere and a fun night.  If service is slow relax and have a wine and chilli. 

Great foodie 

The chap greeted us, not quite all there? We stayed for 3 days and not once did he remember who we were. The first night had a meal there, a pie, chips and salad, very disappointing and so over-priced. I am glad we found the one-stop shop around the corner. Ordered breakfast for 8am and did not get it until 8.45. Fresh and yummy though! Had to sit on the bed to watch TV which was way up in the corner of the room, near the ceiling (?). No kettle or coffee/tea facilities, had to ask for those. Queen bed was not comfortable as many had been sitting at the pillow end to watch TV. Nice coffee when it arrived . Disappointing all round. :-)
