So nice to be in an old house that has the fire going when you arrive and a delightful host. Glennis makes you feel at home and we really did. It was a delight. The room was spacious, excellent bed, lots of hot water good wifi (also 4G Telstra is 2 bars) and enough power points. The pics tell the story,

Glennis recommended taking the 50 metre walk to the crest of the hill (take your own wine and nibbles) to see the fantastic sunset views and check out the group retreat venue. Great continental + hot breakfast is included with a proper coffee machine see pics and at about $135 (08/2019)  it’s by far the best value in town!!!

We stayed one night a the delightful Fernbrook Lodge.

While the main house is rather old the facilities were first class. Our host welcomed us warmly and showed us to our very comfortable and quite large room.

Breakfast was excellent and included bacon and eggs in the tariff.

We would definitely recommend Fernbrook Lodge to any one visiting or passing through Dorrigo.

We stayed at the Fernbrook Lodge for two nights and those have been the best on our journey along Australia‘s east coast. Glennis, the owner, has a very warm and kind personality and is an excellent host who caters to your every need in an unobtrusive way. Upon arrival, she offered afternoon tea and to help us find the right walking trails at Dorrigo National Park.
The early 20th century house is kept very clean and the guest lodges are located at the back of the house overviewing the beautiful garden. Behind the house, you have an amazing view of the sunset. The lodge is the perfect getaway place to relax and enjoy the countryside.
If we should ever come back to the Dorrigo area, we would definitely stay at the Fernbrook Lodge again.

I spent 4 nights at Fernbrook Lodge and felt very comfortable. My room was spacious and comfortable and private. I overlooked gardens from two large windows and enjoyed the use of a very efficient little gas heater to take the chill from the air. The surrounding countryside is beautiful - interlocking green hills dotted with cows. Even when the cloud is down, the place feels special. Breakfasts and dinner were home-cooked and generous. Dorrigo is just 6km away - I visited the National Park there most days. In the other direction, Ebor is just 40km away and from there, you're close to several other National Parks. Fernbrook Lodge was the perfect base for my stay.

Although not regular B&B users, we enjoyed one night of Glennis' thoughtful hospitality at her charming home.
As she explained to us, the house is purposely "old fashioned" but that certainly doesn't mean there is any lack of comfort! The bed (and sheets) were very comfy, the room was warm and cosy and the heater light in the bathroom much appreciated.
The delicious afternoon tea on arrival, complimentary port and chocs and offer to use her dvd collection were a delightful bonus. In fact we felt so much at home that it seemed wrong for Glennis to be preparing a delicious breakfast for us and waiting on us. Her two dogs were so quiet we didn't even know they were there.
Dorrigo is only 6km away and while dinner choices on a Monday night were limited, our pub meal hit the spot.
Perfect stopover on the Waterfall Way, if you have a couple of days to take advantage of the beautiful bushwalks in the area.
