Outback Cellar & Country Cottage

Loved our two-night stay in the Outback Cellar,which is situated just outside of Dubbo. Being far from a main road,it is so quiet and peaceful. The stars looked close enough to touch! The room,which includes a loft,is so spacious. We had our own courtyard and an adjacent beautifully-maintained garden. Thank you Tracey for the eggs from your chickens - so fresh!

We recently had our 3rd stay at the Outback Cellar Dubbo, and have already booked our 4th visit. Travelling as a family of four, the accommodation has everything you need and appeals to all ages. The kids love the animals, the yards and wide open spaces and the we love the cosy country accommodation - which is very luxurious and so clean and spotless! Instant country hospitality the minute you arrive. we couldn't rate this place highly enough!

We were a group of 5 women doing the NSW painted silos road trip and spent a night here in The Cellar (which sleeps 7). 
The whole experience was fabulous. Lovely property to walk around, beautiful accommodation with quality linen and comfy beds. We took in lasagna and salad for dinner so we could just relax. The outdoor fire pit was fantastic to sit around with wine and a night sky full of stars to top it off. The host Tracey is the hostess with the most.  Thoroughly recommend this for a breath of fresh air away from Sydney. Their property is also set up for wedding hire which would be just gorgeous. Highlight of our trip.

We stayed two nights in the cellar which is huge and very well appointed with a good kitchen.We loved the  wood stove which kept us warm all night.The venue would be great for a wedding and is a few minutes out of Dubbo, so beautifully quiet.The grounds are excellent and we saw a Kangaroo jumping over the fence which was great!

Thank you to the hosts Tracey and Mark for their genuinely down to earth Aussie hospitality. We had the best 3 nights R&R in a quite beautiful cottage. The cottage has been tastefully renovated with new kitchen & bathrooms and yet it blends in with the old world charm. Great work. We would highly recommend Outback cellar for your next stay. Thank you both for the evening chats and making our stay a memorable one. We will definitely be back.

The Outback Cellar is in rural NSW 10 minutes out of Dubbo. We stayed in the cellar which is what it says it is. It is built into the hillside and the only windows are at the front where the exit door is and up on the mezzanine where the window is at ground level. It has the best equipped kitchen of any rental we've used, and in New Zealand where we live, we use them a lot, but no dishwasher. But apart from breakfast, we ate out every night. In the cellar, there is accommodation for 6 - two double beds (queens), one on the mezzanine where we slept. The other on the ground floor. There were two single beds on the ground floor too. Be aware that the beds aren't in separate rooms. The ground floor is open plan and the mezzanine is of course, open. So you have to be a large family or really close friends! We were a couple. The cellar also has a heat pump and a wood burner. As our visit was winter we used the wood burner a lot. The temperature on the mezzanine rose to about 30 when we used the wood burner. But we went out to eat so we let the fire die down and the mezzanine was a perfect temperature when we got back.

Charming, comfortable accommodation with aircon for our family of 5 in a rural environment. Our kids really enjoyed cycling along the private road and looking at the roaming cows and we had great fun firing up the pizza oven and making pizza (I took a bread maker for the dough) which cooked perfectly.  Our sons also enjoyed collecting sticks and feeding the fire pit something we just can’t do at home. We stayed 2 nights and visited the zoo but could have easily enjoyed another night.

I cannot say enough about our stay here. Our bridal party stayed here and it was the most amazing place we could have chosen. The scenery takes you to anywhere in the world, from the Hunter Valley to Spain to Tuscany or even Ireland. I can’t speak highly enough of the facilities and cleanliness. The BBQ and outdoor pizza oven were a beautiful touch. The beds were super comfortable. Tracy was incredibly accommodating and could not have done enough for us, she really is a credit to the place. 
I will definitely stay here again given the opportunity. I believe this is one of Dubbo’s best kept secrets. There isn’t a high enough rating for cellar door cottage!

We had originally wanted to stay at the Western Plains Zoo but due to the cost I started looking elsewhere. Despite the number of accommodation options available in Dubbo, as soon as I saw the website of the Outback Cellar I looked no further. Located just 15 minutes from the centre of Dubbo with the zoo, shopping centres, restaurants and tourist attractions you would never know it! I felt like I was hundreds of miles from civilisation. The surroundings were so beautiful and peaceful and full of wildlife. The Outback Cellar itself where we stayed was amazing. Outside we had our own pizza oven, tables and chairs and inside there were beds for up to 7 people and fireplace with plenty of firewood. It really felt like home with all the artwork on the walls, expensive linen on the beds, fancy soaps provided at every sink, piles of board games, books, puzzles and even some toys for the kids. The kitchen was full stocked with every utensil and piece of kitchenware you could think of. No fine detail had been overlooked. The owners were absolutely lovely. We stayed four nights and none of us wanted to leave, not even our 8 year-old daughter. It was luxurious and peaceful and we loved every minute of our stay.

We stayed for 2 nights, booked last minute and owners were very accomodating, putting extra beds up for the children. The location is amazing with loads of outside space. Its self catering but the kitchen facilities were great with a coffee maker and coffee provided. Lovely little balcony to sit out for morning coffee. Would highly recommend to anyone, couple and families both as there's something for everyone.
