Bananatown Motel

We arrived at midnight to Coffs Harbour to find that Everything is closed, including the motels. None had an option to check in. After driving around the ghost town we found the Bananatown motel that has a human to check you in 24/7. Probably the only motel open 24/7 in Coffs Harbour. I don't care if they have tv (do they?), but they have an okay bed, a fridge, and an okay Internet, and way cheaper than any of the motels closer to the beach. So yeah, Bananatown rules!

Love this place. It's affordable, it's clean & very comfortable. I'm always greeted with a smile by the owner who is always happy to help & a big plus for me is tthe beach, restaurants, & shops or basically everything you need is in close proximity.
I'm always leaving feeling satisfied so I'll definitely be coming back on my travels!!! .

Good price, comfortable bed, great location from shops, restaurants and Coffs Harbour cbd, staff communication was good, doesn’t appear on google search for accommodation in Coffs Harbour on site parking clean amenities and basic tea/ coffee

The price was right, it had parking for a truck and on getting to my room it had crisp white sheets, two double beds and good pillows - what more could you want.
My only criticism of room 6 was that the shower recess could have done with a bleach to clear some mould of the grouting.
Otherwise it had all you could need for a one night stay, including quick and plentiful hot water, tea and coffee and a flatscreen TV.
The Aircon worked a treat to warm the room and keep away the winter chill, the bed was comfortable, Wi Fi worked a treat and it was only a short stroll for dinner to a great pub.
I suppose there was some road noise during the night, but a room toward the back would fix this, certainly it was not constant or disturbing.

Probably the only motel open 24/7 in Coffs Harbour

Central, comfortable, basic

We needed a cheap place to stay for just one night, and this was it!
For less than $100 for 2 adults & 2 kids close to everything. 
However you get what you pay for....
The pool was closed...not good when it’s stinking hot & the kids have been in the car all day & just want a swim, and part of the reason you booked the place was because it had a pool!
The floors could of been cleaner. outside was dirty & definitely could of used a tidy up. The room was small, with no where to place your bags, except on the floor, and only one chair. 
There was a queen bed & a double bed, single bed bunk combo. A small tv and fridge, microwave, kettle & toaster. There was a ceiling fan & aircon, but the air con was very noisy! Like a truck running noisy.
Bathroom was very dated & not as clean as could be. Water pressure was great with instant hot water. 
The beds had clean sheets, we had clean towels, but one bed had no blankets or top sheet.
The photos on other websites of the rooms is not what we got, but I didn’t take any photos either to show the difference.
It’s an ok place to stay if you just need a cheap place sleep. 

You get what you pay for

The bedroom was well presented and seemed clean and tidy. The bathroom was clean. But other guests were scary, No wifi as advertised  no pool it has been closed a while, we checked in and decided to pay a bit more for a better motel. we got a refund and went to a 3-4 star motel for only $19 more.
the host checked us in fast but he lacked customer interaction and needs to learn of customer friendless.

One hour stay

Place was filthy mouldy and was full of hookers operating out of the hotel shady characters hanging around all night knocking on our door obviously trying to find the local cumdumpster beds are crap they have obviously had the life shagged out of them it might be close to town but definitely not worth your money

Bananatown more like hookertown

we stayed for one night regretting every second,it was 105$ for one night and the tap had a hole in it but i guess you dont get a water feature in every motel and the fridge bareley opened so dont suggest you bring food, and bed had a dent in it so i suggest it was well used if you know what i mean

absolutely disgusting

We booked a family room for 2 nights . Just needed somewhere inexpensive and clean to sleep and shower for the weekend as we would be spending little time in our room . Our booking confirmation stated 1 King bed and 1 bunk bed family room. Room had 2 queen beds . That wasn’t really an issue but not reflective of what confirmation said . Bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Mould on the roof , dirt and hair in the corner of the shower floor . Bathroom looked like it hadn’t had a proper clean in along time . 
One bed had food under the side of  it (see pretzel in photo) , evidence that the floors aren’t vacuumed thoroughly on cleaning . 
Outside of motel was old , run down and dirty . 
Pool was green and closed . 
Pretty sure room didn’t have Foxtel as stated on sign out front of motel , (room didn’t even have a clock ! )
When I went to see the office about my disappointment there was actually another customer there complaining also about the same things ! 
Person I spoke to was not apologetic or helpful in anyway.  
Booking confirmations, motel signage are not reflective of what you actually get . 
Very dissatisfied and do not recommend staying here at all.
Only reason we stayed was because we arrived close to 9pm on the first night and couldn’t afford to book elsewhere for the next night .

Disgusting. Dirty. Old .

If I hadn't already paid for our one nights accommodation online, there is no way we would have stayed! The shower was a mouldy,putrid,filthy mess! There was a bucket full of rubbish and water just outside our room when we arrived. And it was still there in the morning! The upstairs room was leaking into our bathroom. And it obviously had been leaking for some time judging by the rotting bathroom ceiling! The wiring cover to the ceiling fan that should have been attached to the ceiling was falling off. And there was not one plate, bowl or any cutlery! Oh apart from two plastic spoons and three mugs! 
This motel should be shut down! Yes it was cheap but that doesn't mean it has to be filthy!!!
