Lake Monduran Holiday Park

We stayed in one of the lake View cabins. It exceeded our expectations by quite a bit. For a camping ground cabin this was high quality. The whole camp is held to very high standards. And the location is simply amazing. It would be impossible to tire from the view from our cabin deck, and then of course there is the wildlife. Pale headed rosellas greeted us, while blue faced honey-eaters were busy in the banksia. Wallabies were playing on the lawn, and when dusk came a squirrel glider came to visit the trees in front of the cabin. And this is just around the cabin, we were not on the lake yet... 
This is Lake Monduran, not the nearby Paradise lake, but paradise nevertheless!

Lake Monduran Holiday Park was great. We stayed in an unpowered site and were blessed with the shade of a huge tree! The site has great amenities and plenty to do,  but by far the best part of this place was the atmosphere! Everyone staying there was fishing for Barra, so within a couple of days you ended up meeting people and chatting about fishing either at camp or at the boat ramp. 
Such a good vibe!

We stayed overnight with our camper trailer on our way to the Cape. Family of 4. Unpowered site. Friendly staff. Office open till 5pm on the Sunday. Well stocked shop. We bought a sack of firewood.
Nice fire in the fire pit provided.
Large open spaces.
Clean toilets and nice hot showers.
Clean and well equipped camp kitchen.

Lake Monduran Holiday Park is located 20mins north of Gin Gin, Qld. Our family of four stayed for 3 nights in a cabin (AUD$680). Fitted with a mini kitchenette, double bed, double bunk with trundle bed, fridge, microwave, cooking utensils and mini stove top. Linen and towels were provided in each cabin. There are 4 cabins that overlook the lake and 3 residential houses that can be booked for short stays. The Holiday Park has 35 powered sites in Camping Area A, that cater for caravanning. There is a mini golf course, basketball court, fish cleaning area, laundry and amenities area available to holiday goers. Camping Area B has a generator that runs from 8.30am to 8.30pm only. There is only one house boat  currently booked out til March 2021. It is licenced for 10 pax. We hired a 6hp dinghy to go fishing because of the renowned bass and barra stories.  At the cost of (AUD$280 plus fuel) for 3days; we were quite happy to be puttering along the lake in designated areas and surprisingly enough were one of very few families who actually caught some kind of fish. If you're interested in quiet nights and reconnecting with self - come out here. And if you like fishing - best times are between February and October or check with the staff. The staff were very helpful and informative. Our stay here allowed us to rejuvenate and unwind. Thank you. 

We had a lovely stay. Communal kitchen was clean with everything you need. Amenities were clean and tidy. Only thing missing was a baby change table to be able to dress my grandson after a shower. A nice grassy quiet spot with some trees. Will be back again.

We camped here for 1 night as an overnight stop between Sunshine Coast & Yeppoon. We found it to be a nice & easy place to stay as it’s not too far off the highway and you can book drive through sites, so no need to unhitch the van if you want to get going early the next day. We stayed on a powered site, with a pretty outlook of the Aussie landscape. There is plenty of space to camp if you don’t need power. The amenities are clean and well maintained. We had time to ride our bikes up to the Lake lookout (quite hilly!) but a nice view once up the top. Also fun to ride along the dam wall road. Great to be able to have a fire, and keep your eyes open for wildlife, we spotted wallabies, kangaroos & and an echidna :-) 

We camped here in our camper trailer.  The amenities are terrific.  The camp kitchen was the best I’ve seen.  All equipment ( toaster,microwave, hot plates, fridge, tv and barbecue plates ) were well maintained.  Plenty of power points to charge up phones and things.  Bathroom and laundry were good.
They put on holiday activities for the kids; outdoor movie, water slide and cooked free breakfasts twice a week ; bacon and eggs with juice and baked beans  and pancakes.
Great dam to explore and you can hire boats at a reasonable cost.

I've stayed here a couple of times in the past month and love the place
Very reasonable rates, level powered or unpowered sites available and you aren’t jammed in like other places.
The wildlife is amazing with lots of birds around the camp
Amenities are clean and the camp kitchen is well set up
There is a mini put put golf course available

What a gorgeous spot!! We are not huge fans of campgrounds or holiday parks as we like our space, but this place is perfect, with heaps of room for tents in a big well mown paddock. The facilities were lovely and clean, well maintained and the camp kitchens were great, with cooktops, electric bbq, fridge, tv, toaster, microwave, sinks and big picnic tables. They had a lovely social feel too, we got chatting with people every night and everyone was so friendly. The lake itself is amazing and with the incredibly affordable boat hire rates, it's hardly worth owning your own boat! We had a great day out on the water and although we didn't catch anything, it hardly mattered it was just spectacular cruising around on the water! The owners and staff were all lovely and the little store/office stocked a good range of essentials and snacks. Mini golf was a fun highlight and there is also a basketball halfcourt and other boardgames to play (printed on the concrete). Very family friendly and I can't recommend it enough!

We stayed in a cabin before 2017 .

Took two SUP stand up paddle boards . 

This week we headed out for a non powered camp sight , school holidays, two teenagers one beautiful 8 year old daughter two dogs 🐶 and me the mum .
The facilities are awesome best camp kitchen, showers clean , grounds kept lovely.
Staff really friendly. Pet friendly. 

Only negative and nothing to do with the camping grounds. 
One night a drunk very loud Nan 👵 language with most her words starting with F .
This in front of three children also in the camp party all staying together, disgusting behaviour in front of them . 
This went on until well after 12 . 30pm
10pm is the noise quiet time asked in order to respect all other campers and children needing a good nights restful sleep in the beautiful fresh cool nights air  👶. 
Children learn by experiencing life as they see it watching their peers and learning from their behaviour. 
None of the other family members cared  no one even asked her to calm the farm . 

I asked the next day at the office what I can do if this happens again .
Explained I had very little sleep and was feeling very tired . Single mum  three kids the day never stops for me . 

There is a way , you can call the office number from your tent ⛺️ and the call will go to the mangers phone who live on site just up the hill .
They would of come and asked the Nan to stop being so loud . I will do this if this happens again .

Other campers need sleep my eight year old was woken three that night by her. 
In the end head phones drowned her out on both of us . 
There is also an inter com at the office in the wall by the door to contact after hours . 
There is usually ONE hey , the one who can’t control or doesn’t care to control her self or his self .
Awesome camping ⛺️ lovey a must visit .

Family Camping ⛺️ awesomeness

We recently delighted in 4 nights at LMHP at a powered site next to the very-well-equipped camp kitchen. The free camping area was quite busy on Fri and Sat nights, but they all packed up on Sunday morning and left us almost alone.  The grounds are very well maintained; the fire pits dotted around are a bonus, and the shop appears to be stocked with just about everything you may need, or have forgotten to pack...including fresh milk, eggs and bread.  I did have a bit of trouble connecting to the wi fi but Kelly enlightened me and I was able to check emails after that....not that that is usually a priority for us.  The amenities are not crazily modern but are spotless with good water pressure and nice hot showers.  My only complaint - being "vertically challenged" - is the spiffy and spotless camp kitchen was obviously built by a very tall person:  the stainless steel benches are so deep I couldn't reach the power points on the back wall.  But that's what husbands are for :-)   Whilst the barramundi weren't obliging, everyone else was and for the first time in a long time, I heard my husband say "we will definitely be back".
