Longbeach Clifftop Retreat

Just a few nights exploring the Batemans Bay Area. The studio is well provided . New kitchen and plenty of kitchen utensils. Bed was comfy .lovely and clean . Tea and coffee provided. The studio does not have a view and it’s quite dark but we spent most of our time out and about.

The studio offers everything one needs for a comfortable and enjoyable  stay: it is freshly renovated and immaculately clean, the mattress is new and allows a good rest, there are plenty of right types of dishes for cooking and serving, smart TV, among other inclusions.  The location is perfect as it is close to  Longbeach and Maloney beach. On top of everything, Jaki and Kim are outstanding hosts., Jaki has shown us her garden and offered us fresh organic herbs that we used to make a few yummy dishes. The highlight of our stay was a drive and picnic in the forest that Jaki and Kim organised. On that occasion we were accompanied with their quirky and amazingly smart dog Ziggy who entertained us during the picnic. This has been one of the best stays  we have ever had. Highly recommended - you won’t regret it!

We stayed at the moonlight cottage. The hosts are lovely and very helpful.  The cottage is modern and spotless with a warm and cosy feel -  very comfortable and well maintained.  The location is quick walk to the beach and not far from town which is convenient  - will be back again soon!

We had a great time at Jaki's. The location is amazing and it was a very good place to relax after a long day kayaking. Jaki was a very kind host with lots of local knowledge. The apartment was very spacious for a couple and would be a great location for a small group.

A very well equipped and roomy studio apartment. We loved having our dog with us for our holiday and felt he was made very welcome. Jaki was incredibly welcoming and showed us all the local walks etc from the apartment. The studio was very clean and we always felt we could ask if we needed anything. The location of this studio is perfect for anyone wanting to explore the south coast or even for a quiet retreat. It is very close to Batemans bay amenities but in a lovely quiet area on the clifftop. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Jaki.

My sister and I traveled to Sydney and then drove along the coast for three days to Melbourne. We spent the first night of our road trip at the Longbeach Clifftop Retreat at beautiful Long Beach in Bateman's Bay. As other reviews have mentioned, the location and views are wondrous.  The beach and surrounding forest are stunning and nature filled.  When we arrived, Jaki told us that we would be able to walk to a part of the beach that is nearby and see kangaroos that come out at sunset. This was an amazing experience that I'll never forget----so many kangaroos of all sizes against the backdrop of the sun setting on the beach!  We also saw many beautiful birds, such as white cockatiels---wow!
The suite that we stayed in at the Clifftop Retreat was very comfortable, clean, light and airy.  Everything that we needed was provided.  I wish we could have stayed longer, but had to get on the road the next day in order to make our way down the coast and to Melbourne.

Fantastic location - short drive to Long Beach or Maloney's Beach (for your morning coffee!), beautiful bushland out the back of the property with a fairly easy (but steep) walk down to the off-leash dog beach. Jaki offers a wealth of knowledge on the local area and is more than happy to help. The accommodation is in a quiet area, very comfortable with high quality linens on the bed (if you opt to have the bed made) and great pillows. Block out blinds and curtains meant it was easy to sleep in each morning. Everything you need in the kitchen and a full size fridge to make it an easy weekend away.

Six of us (one couple and four friends) stayed for a week over the Christmas holiday period. Our focus was to have a quiet and relaxing time together and enjoy the beaches and nature around Batemans Bay. Jaki's place was perfect for this – the home was comfortable, spacious enough for us, and adequately equipped to enjoy time together at home (eg. playing board games, relaxing on the balcony, watching a movie..) and conveniently located to easily enjoy the surrounding natural beauty, whether from our balcony (awesome views and surrounded by trees), on foot (over the back fence to a beautiful quiet beach on the bay) or a short car trip (to surf beaches near Durras or on the south side of the bay). Jaki's place was good value for money and met our requirements perfectly. We also found it easy to cook meals together at home. Jaki was very helpful and welcoming throughout our stay and communication before and during our stay was a breeze.

My wife and I made a booking for 2 weeks over the festive session in late 2020/21.  The property is advertised as a studio apartment when it's actually a crudely converted garage.  No working shower for first 48 hours, electrical circuitry regularly shorted, stained towels. Bed and other furniture incredibly uncomfortable too.  To rub salt in the wounds, we had to leave 6 nights earlier than planned due to a Vic Government COVID19 border closure.  Owner Jaki outright refused any refund linked to either early departure or poor accommodation.  To put that in context, we were charged  $5,150 for the 2 week stay.  Massively over priced for a converted garage!  Based on the experience and unwillingness of the owner to compromise we'd highly recommend any potential guests avoid booking with this property.
