Alexanders' Of Richmond

Great place to stay. It's a bit out of the way from Hobart but it's in a beautiful area so the distance was not a big deal. Lovely place but could use a bit more attention to dusting. Other than that really great place

Lovely property with double bed bedroom downstairs and 2 x double beds in loft.  Very clean and a short distance drive to centre.

Friendly host, nice location, quiet and peaceful, beds comfy and warm. Would stay again.

Met at property promptly when informed of time we were arriving. Generous breakfast portions left for us along with staple foods. Comfortable accommodations with electric blankets provided. Enjoyed our stay.

The B&B was very comfortable and quiet and had everything we needed.

We enjoyed the quiet location, the large space and the delightful little touches to make us feel welcome.

Alexanders was a wonderful stay, just 5 minutes from Richmond and 30 minute drive to Hobart. The cottage reasonably priced and is well equipped with great amenities, including continental breakfast, comfy beds, spacious lounge area with plenty of dvds, air conditioning and a downstairs fan. 

My mother and I stayed at the end of 2019 and Alexander and his wife were extremely helpful with directions and local restaurant ideas. We experienced a very, very hot 35+ degree day and Alexander even came and turned the air conditioning on for us to ensure we arrived to a nice cool cottage.

For those looking for a reasonably priced, comfortable stay, close to town, Alexanders is a great choice :)

Great cottage stay close to Richmond

Fabulous little cottage, situated in a quiet location. Everything you could need for a relaxing stay. Generous breakfast and basics such as bread, real  coffee, juice, yogurt, and fruit all included. The owners were most helpful with a tourist ideas. Would I stay there again? Absolutely, it was delightful

Set in a quiet rural location a few minutes drive from Richmond, Alexander's is a pleasant spot to spend a couple of nights while exploring the Richmond area.
The cottage has a queen bedroom, kitchen, lounge and bathroom downstairs, while the upstairs area has two queen beds. It is well equipped and comfortable, with continental breakfast provisions provided. A gas BBQ is provided on the back patio also.
Be aware that there is no wifi, which can be a positive or negative, depending on your outlook.

Rural Solitude in Richmond

Lovely little house. 3Klm out of Richmond up a quiet country lane, on a working farm.
Two separate bedroom units are hard to find in Tasmania, this place has one at the front, and one upstairs, with three large double beds, a huge open lounge room with sofa, TV+, and dining table. It is quiet, even though it is not far from the flightpath exiting Hobart airport. It is comfortable, and sufficiently equipped to enable a very pleasant stay.

Warm, clean and spacious. We shared our booking with another couple. There was a bedroom upstairs and one downstairs, which was good. The lounge downstairs was spacious. The bathroom was adequate. Kitchen small and basic continental breakfast was provided. The host was informative by phone about check-in when I made the booking through an internet travel website.

A little out of town but peaceful

The location was a bit away from town and within a farm area but is not a farmstay. We only stayed for 1 night just before our return. The location is about 15 mins drive away from major supermarkets like Coles and Woolworths. 30 mins drive from airport. 5 mins drive from Richmond Bridge and town area. If u drive, the location is really not a problem.We didn't get to see the owner throughout our stay, which is totally not a problem for us, but found the arrangement a bit strange. The owner left the door opened for us on our check in and we have no problem with that. The low rating for hotel staff is because we didn't even see one. I would choose not to rate if this is possible. The place was clean and spacious. The kitchenette has no stove and can't cook, but has toaster, microwave and electric kettle. But family that wishes to cook really can't in this accommodation. But we were pleasantly surprised that the kitchen was stocked up with breakfast enough to feed 2x the number of pax. There is no laundry facility although description in Expedia said there is. But since it was our last night there, not a problem for us.
