Bairnsdale

The park is in a great location right by the Mitchell River in Bairnsdale.  The grounds and facilities are immaculately maintained, amenities block was clean, showers nice and hot with good pressure.  Camp kitchen was well equipped, but BYO crockey, cutlery & cooking utensils.  The camping sites at the front of the park get a bit of road noise.  Excellent park, I'll be back.

Wonderful staff - great park

Excellent staff, lovely warm welcome. 
Cabin very clean, neat and tidy. 
Nice Location near beautiful  large river. 
Easy to use and clean laundry. 
Only negatives were public had thoroughfare and our Cabin quite close to very busy road with trucks breaking all night. 
Still Recommended 

CLEAN AND TIDY

This was a really nice park to stop at with our van. 
The check in process was simple and the staff were friendly and helpful. The caravan site was clean and had easy access. 
The amenities blocks were also clean and well appointed. 
There is a nice kids area and a pool which would be welcome in summer. 
We were even lucky enough to meet a couple of local possums outside in the trees. 
Thanks for a nice clean and simple stay.

Lovely park! The staff were great. So helpful. The park was very clean. Our cabin was spotless and had the most comfortable bed we have ever had at a caravan park. Have stayed in a lot of caravan parks and this was one of the best. Can’t wait to go back!

Fabulous park!

My wife and I stayed at this caravan park in a site that I requested, but was unaware of how small and closely packed in the sites were.
We was also unaware of the cockatoo/corella/bat problem they have within this area of the park, leaving a real mess on you caravan and awning which will have to be cleaned and scrubbed off. The noise of the birds and bats was deafening and relentless, morning and night.
I understand that the park management do not have control over the influx of birds and bats, but being notified of such, prior to booking, would of been appreciated. I asked to be moved due to this issue, but was told there was no other vacant sites, even though we saw many at the other end of the park, where I was seeking to be moved, for the whole duration of our trip. 
The showers were cleaned daily, but there are tiles lifted in the mens shower cubicles, which I would of thought the cleaners would of mentioned to management, as they would have to known if cleaned.
The worst thing about our visit to this caravan park, was that the morning of our departure, the grounds keeper yelled and abused me due leaving a fair and honest review on another site. Even the neighbor said to the grounds keeper, "who are you, the review police". 
This is NOT the way to approach a guest to gain constructive criticism for improvement. This upset my wife and self, and it has only given us a bad feeling whenever the town of Bairnsdale is bought up in conversation, or thought about.
My wife and I was very disappointed in our stay at this park.

Main Groundskeeper verbally abused my husband this morning while we were hooking up our caravan to leave because my husband left an honest review on the caravan park.

I don't normally leave reviews but this needs to be brought to other people's attention. We stayed in this caravan park for 2 weeks as we had prebooked due to traveling. Very overpriced for what you go through when staying at this caravan park.
The C.P. is packed like sardines, the birds reek havoc in the trees and pooing everywhere, they need got really loud around 1a.m. every night. The bats were fighting and screeching.

The Amenities are less than good. Tiles coming up off the floors, the main door on the women's side doesn't close completely so anyone and their mother can walk in from the river walk.

Motorcycles entering the park around 1:30 A.M. and going around inside the C.P. and revving up their motor. This happened a few times.

The park rules of the noise isn't adhered to. People were fighting and arguing well after 1 a.m. on several occasions.

The grounds keepers was out leaf blowing everyday/morning....I watched as the dirt and dust was blown all over people's laundry hanging out to dry almost daily. They don't understand the concept of using a mower or etc to suck up the leaves, instead they blown them across the road over the pathway for a good gust of wind to blow them right back.

The drainage is completely backed and over flowed always so there is ABSOLUTELY no point in using a drain pipe in this place.

The day, today, while we were hooking the van up to the car, the grounds keeper came around and verbally abused my husband because of an honest review he left on wikicamps.
This caused my anxiety to go through the roof and caused my husband embarrassment and caused him to be very nervous/shaking afterwards.

AVOID THIS CARAVAN PARK AT ALL COSTS!!

Great park, good location, walking distance to town centre (300m). No real playground however an amazing playground just over the road. The only downside is the caravan sites are a tad small in width where we stayed, couldn’t open the awning fully on the van and were on top of our neighbours. Staff were amazing, could not fault them.

Well kept and reasonable park

A clean well run camp, trees were a bit of a problem in the wind and wet with lots of leaves and twigs falling on the van. Handy enough to town and right on the river walk. No boom gates and the riverwalk passing through the exge ofthe camp, it is not secure.

Stayed at this park from 16-18 Sept 2022. What a wonderful experience. Arrived in time for a welcome of pizza and music. Our host Adam was helpful in many ways. The park and facilities were very clean…..loved the shower mats and face washers provided. And who could resist a coffee while doing your washing. The camp kitchen was clean and very well equipped. The kitchen also provided an atmosphere to read the paper while waiting…. for breakfast/lunch….or just a break. Congratulations Adam and the other staff members for a relaxing break in Bairnsdale
