This is a fascinating former bank building dating to 1897 which has been used as bed and breakfast accomodation for many years. Kathy couldn't have been more welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay including a lovely breakfast. 

There is both on street parking and some at the rear of the guest house which is more secure. The location is great for exploring town, local pubs and restaurants and the foreshore itself.

Lovely place in the centre of town next to all attractions. Kathy the host was really accommodating and always tried to make our stay as perfect as possible.
Everything was clean,cosy and you had anything a guest would need.

Beautiful historic guesthouse. Furnished very comfortably with trinkets and amazing art on walls. Friendly staff who were eager to please. Fresh and well prepared breakfast served in a relaxing dinning room. Highly recommend this venue for a relaxing visit in Albany. Close to most places in town.

Curious historic building, lovely cooked breakfasr, secure parking, well located, fantastic hospitality. The best value and enjoyable accomodation i have had the pleasure to stay at. Not been at beeter accomdation in all my travels.

Friendly owners, quirky interesting guesthouse, breakfast served promptly at allocated time, an excellent location very central to most things, accommodated us leaving our car there after check out due to Anzac Day commitments, thanks for the stay will come again

Very friendly owner Kathy, very helpful, showed us what there was to visit in town, room was unique, nice quiet location but close to two hotels for meals

Location is excellent.  Walking distance to shops, restaurants and some historical sites.  
Beautiful old building with high ceilings filled with character and charm.
Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice. 
It's our go to place when we are in Albany.

The Albany Foreshore Guesthouse is a cute and quirky place to stay. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Cathy is a wonderful host who cooks an amazing breakfast. Can highly recommend a couple of nights staying here.

Amazing accommodation with great breakfast included. Lovely historic building with period furniture and incredibly decorated walls. Lovely extra touches included in stay. Very happy with our stay here and Cathy and Richard were extremely friendly and helpful.

Definitely a "perion" stay...if you love history you will love this place

Great Bed and Breakfast

Stayed at the Albany foreshore guesthouse for two nights and it was one of the highlights of our holiday.  Peter was our host and what an excellent host he was.  Plenty of laughs and advice on places to visit while in town.  Our room was very comfortable and breakfast cooked by Peter himself was very good indeed.  The location is excellent, in the middle of town and  close to all attractions.   If your looking for something a bit different from the run of the mill and a bit quirky then this is the place for you.

Fantastic stay

Peter, the manager was at the bus station to greet us,even though the guest house was in walking distance. He loaded our luggage in the car and transported us to the car hire place about 6 minutes away, also waiting to make sure we knew our way back, so that we could follow him. He was extremely attentive to our needs throughout our stay. He also picked us up after returning the car. He was informative about eating amenities in close proximity and other attractions. Peter also drove us to the pharmacy in search of covid masks after we had checked out plus delvering us to the bus station!!! And he was a good breakfast cook! janne b

Very hospitable and amazingly helpful manager beyond the call of duty..

We have stayed here three times now over the past 10 years and have enjoyed the service and decor very much.
The B and B was once called Vancouver House and was a Bank many years ago.
The rooms are large with very high ceilings and the owner has placed many fine artworks in all rooms.   As well as an extensive camera collection.
The location on Stirling St is easy walking distance to the centre of town.

Quirkily interesting property with a history.
Excellent rate for our one night stay in an en-suite room. 
All communications were timely and helpful. Our host was really welcoming. Thanks for your hospitality!
Everything was clean and comfy and well appointed. Will definitely try the port in the evening next stay!
Breaky was generous and we were sent off the next morning with water and a couple of boiled eggs for my end to end hike starting that morning.
Bnb is just opposite the Bibb track southern terminus and has a couple of great coffee places just next door.
Recommended!


Lovely Unique Stay

We had a fantastic stay for 2 nts here. Cathy was very attentive to all our needs. The room was very clean and comfortable. We were amazed at the  camera collection and all the beautiful paintings. It was very homely and Cathy cooked a wonderful  breakfast. It was a great location and had private parking. Met some lovely people who were  also guests.Would recommend to anyone travelling to Albany.

Absolutely wonderful!

The parking area is not suited to larger cars - very cramped. Padlocked access gates not easy to re- lock once you actually manage to unlock them. Access to accommodation is via 2 sets of stairs which many could find a bit of a trial. Bedroom quaint, cosy and comfortable. Bathroom clean but needs attention - cracks, peeling paint. Tea/coffee area clean and well stocked.  Breakfast  enjoyable and well presented

Owners were great with communicating prior to arriving and very obliging. We had complimentary port which was a nice touch. Breakfast was served in our room and was very nice.Would recommend a stay, wished we could stay longer.Parking provided is limited and would be a tight situation if busy.Note not all rooms have a separate bathroom, some are shared.Note there are two sets of stairs to get to rooms although staff were happy to assist with taking luggage up.

If you want a stay in an amazing property, you have to stay here. An historic building and the B&B is superb. The rooms are older, but very well kept up and you have to check out the artwork that decorates the rooms and the dining room. Beautiful 14 foot ceilings make you feel like you have stepped back in time! Breakfast is made to order and lots of choices. We have to say the glass of port that was available before we went to bed was a great touch! The area is right across from the shoreline in Albany and easy walking to restaurants and shops. Wifi is only available in the dining room, but works well. Parking may be limited in peak season, but was fine when we were there.

History, charm and hospitality

3 night very pleasant stay. Disappointed with no views, or fridge in my room 2, but was upgraded to room 5 for 2 nights, with great harbour views. Salim is a lovely understanding man, running the beautifully furnished old world establishment. Close to shops, harbour etc, and safe parking. Smallish fridge to share in little coffee/tea room. Wi-fi access downstairs.
