Excellent accommodation for our party of 8. Super short walk to beach and coffee shop and ice cream! Management was super helpful with our questions and we had a great time.

Had a really great time and a beautifull house!

Location of the property is perfect - 300m walk to Albany's best beach. The apartment is brand new and beautifully furnished . The apartment has a great layout with 2 outdoor areas . A superb park with riding paths , big flying fox ,playground area and BBQ,s only 200 metres away. Within 300 metres we had - 4 restaurants and a pub over looking the beach. We hired bikes to get around and found we could get everywhere on a bike. The beds were very good quality and we all enjoyed good sleeps.

The accommodation is expensive but if you are travelling with a extended family of 8, this might be a very good deal. Three bedrooms and a couple of minutes walk to the Middleton Beach for a breathtaking sunrise. The place is extremely luxurious. If you are driving there, do take note. There is a 14 Marine Terrace, Albany (not the right address) and a 14 Marine Terrace, Middleton Beach. Keyed in the former and ended up in the wrong location. 

Stayed in the C Spray apartment , Albany Waves for a 5 x night family stay .
The apartment offers high standards in terms of the accomodation , furnishings and accessories , 3 bedrooms  , with the master bedroom and  ensuite situated upstairs and the remaining 2 , downstairs .
Private garage and a nice stand alone bath in the ensuite .
There are 2 x outdoor areas , upstairs balcony and ground floor outdoor area complete with barbecue .
The apartment is in a good location , a stone throw from Middleton Beach with plenty of eating and drinking options on your doorstep ( providing they are  open , as we encountered ?  ) , 3 pubs and a fish & chip shop
Very efficient and extremely friendly check in from Lyn , Lyn was also great in assisting us with a drama we had with our TV and Air Con / heating .
On the negative side , do not go here expecting ocean or any other kind of inspiring views , the balcony looks directly  into someones back yard and the ground floor outdoor area backs onto the driveway which serves the apartments .
I had one or two issues trying to work the TV's out but for the money you are paying you would expect to at least have access to  Foxtel ?
To summarise , Albany Waves offers high quality accomodation in a good location , it's well suited for families but for the price being charged in comparison to other properties I have stayed elsewhere in Australia and the World you would expect to have a half decent view and certainly a wider variety of TV channels on offer .

Nice location with a wonderful sunrise waiting at Middleton Beach

My family and I stayed at Albany Waves in January for 8 nights.

Your first impressions is, what a really narrow driveway and how awkward it is to get into the garage.  The Caretaker that met us to handover the keys didn't have a lot to say and didn't come across as welcoming at all (I am sure the owners would appreciate some enthusiasm being shown).  Then he was gone and that was that.

When you first walk into the apartment it seems very nice and cleanish I suppose.  It is a 2 level apartment and downstairs you have 2 out of 3 bedrooms (quite small), 2nd bathroom (TINY), 2nd lounge/family area and laundry.  Upstairs you have the main bedroom (good size), ensuite (good size), kitchen and living area.  It looks nice enough but a bit small and you can't open any windows, which makes it feel a bit stuffy even though you can walk out onto the small sized balcony.  The balcony, the views are to die for (NOT), you are looking straight into the neighbours back yard, which was a bit of a junk yard.  You can't see anything else as big trees block everything.  You are not even facing the beach, so I suppose there wouldn't be a great deal to see anyway, just back yards.  Very disappointing.

Once you are settled and start to use the facilities, you quickly realise how cheap quality some items are.  The TV's were very poor quality, with extremely bad sound which was almost too irritating to listen to.  The bathroom taps and sinks had issues and weren't practical to use.  The supplies that were left for you (dishwasher tablets/toilet paper) were minimal.  There was no service of any kind provided during our stay, so we just replaced items ourselves.  We really felt like these apartments were so way overpriced for what you get.  We were staying with extended family also so we were splitting the cost but it still felt way overpriced.

Middleton Beach was a short 5 minute walk and there were a few Cafes, a Bar and Fish n Chips close by.  No supermarket though, which is frustrating.  It is a beautiful area where the apartments are and the beach is lovely.  You are only a short walk to a big park also.  Town is about a 5-10 minute drive which has quite a good selection of supermarkets and shopping (for a small town).

We never saw the Caretaker again until the day we were leaving.  Before we were even ready to leave, he was waiting outside, mop in hand, smoking just standing there next to his mini truck/ute whatever, WAITING!  We were ready earlier than the check-out time to leave but he made you feel very uncomfortable, like you just wanted to get out of there.  We noticed a few days earlier that he did the same thing to another family that was leaving and we couldn't believe it.  How rude and totally unnecessary it was for him to do that.  We were the only apartment occupied out of 4, so he really wasn't under pressure and he also told us that our apartment wasn't going to be occupied again for about another 5 days.  I'm sorry to say this but looking at this gentleman, if the cleaning was his responsibility that was a bit concerning.  Also, the lack of occupancy, I think speaks for itself as we were the only apartment occupied most of our stay.

Unfortunately, we would not stay here again as the apartments are not worth the money you pay to stay there.  If they slashed their prices by half, then we might consider it.  It's a shame, for the owners, as it's hard to see how they would get enough return renting them.  I guess that explains the high cost, they can't rent them, so they charge ridiculously prices to make up for that.  Who knows!!
