Broadwater Haven

Fabulous short break with family. Cabins are comfy and clean and well stocked with essential cutlery, crockery and bowls, management are friendly and helpful. Location is perfect if you want to disconnect (very limited internet available).
Be sure to take everything you will need in the way of food and toilet paper and other essentials. For emergencies you can pop into the Baffle Creek convenience store or further afield to Agnes Water if you need to.
I would recommend insect repellant and probably some fly spray.`
We booked 3 cabins and loved our break. Kids had a ball in the water and the fisherman got more than one feed.

Beautiful small park with lovely grounds and access to beach.  We were upgraded to the house which was just lovely, tidy and clean.  Very well maintained and everything you need including BBQ on your own verandah.  It rained whilst we were there and the weather was a bit rubbish for a few days.  Take a jigsaw and your DVD's and it's so relaxing and peaceful.  Wallabys visit on sunset and early mornings to graze outside your door.  We went for a 4 wheel drive on the beach and came back and were able to hose off the salt water and sand using the hose provided.  Owners are just marvellous and so helpful.  Will definelty stay again. !!

My daughter and son-in-law took us away for a birthday weekend with their young children! Spotless cabins, everything you might need, lots of wildlife had the kids enthralled and a great fishing location as well. Neil our host was very helpful and friendly, the cabins front right onto a beautiful inlet, great for fishing and the kids to play in, 10 out of 10! 

We went to Broadwater Haven for some rest and relaxation with family.
We fished to our hearts content, the kids scrambled over sand dunes, caught fish, collected shells and had a magic time. 
We had been last year and loved the whole experience. It was a new experience for the family and they loved every minute of it. They are talking about returning.
We took our kayaks and a punt for the kids. 
Perfect place for doing very little but relaxing.

My husband & parents just spent a week at Broadwater Haven. It was one of the most relaxed holidays I have ever had. The cabins are simple but have everything you need. The 2 bedroom style was small but still very adequate for the 4 of us. Especially as you spent a lot of time out on the front deck watching the world go by. Or exploring the broadwater right in front of you. There is no mobile phone range, which for some may be a problem, but we found it very liberating. There is access to free Wi-Fi in certain areas if you need to stay in contact with the rest of the world. There is also television in the cabin so we could keep our eye on the cricket & tennis & news if desired. My husband, a keen fisherman, caught many fish just from the banks of the inlet, so a boat is not a necessity to get a great fish dinner! If going for some days you do need to be a little bit organised with your food. But between the cabin's facilities and the couple of large BBQ areas there are plenty of options for cooking.The closest small shop is about 30 minutes away, but it is open 7 days. I would highly recommend this little haven if you wanted to truly wind down and escape for a while. Though a little out of the way it is well worth it. We will definitely be back.

This place is fantastic. Myself and a work mate visited in early october. After speaking to lots of people who have been her before we were full of anticipation for great fishing but alas like all best plans it fell short by quit a bit. That's fishing. Despite that it has the potential to make the 6 1/2 trip from bisbane worthwhile not just the fishing but the peace and quite is spectacular the cloudless nights opened up to some of the best star show i have see for a long time. Neil the owner is open and friendly willing for a chat anytime. The cabins are clean tidy and well equipped with everything you need for a stay. The estuary is spectacular if somewhat a little shallow but safe for kids to swim in. I can't wait to get back and this time bring the family. Words cannot describe Broadwater Haven as only a personal visit can attest to the most wonderful feeling we had on arrival for our 3rd visit to Paradise in as many years.
On our original visit in 2015 we requested to stay 1 night, however Neil the host indicated he only did min. 3 days but would help us out. In fact he really did help us out resulting in us staying 12 nights on our first visit and returning about 4 weeks later and staying another 5 days.

This year there was no persuasion needed. We booked and stayed 10 nights with our only regret being having to leave. However we will be back. We decided to buy a kayak which Neil kindly collected from nearby Bundaberg/Bargara on our behalf which we have now left with Neil on "permanent loan" for our next visit.

The location, facilities, atmosphere, weather,in fact everything at Broadwater haven is very hard to beat. Early walks across the broadwater to the beach where the only thing you encounter is the breathtaking view up and down 40 klms of pristine, uninhabited white beach!!!

We cannot recommend Broadwater Haven and Neil and Kerry highly enough. They are the most obliging and caring hosts you are ever likely to encounter. Nothing is ever too difficult for them to make your stay the ultimate experience.

Perfect spot to go fishing and just lazing around.  The cabins are fully self contained and spotless. Neal the owner was really friendly and could t have been more helpful and has loads of good stories to tell.  We caught about 40 or 50 crabs but unfortunately could only keep 4 as they were either under size or ginnies (girls). Unfortunately the weather was terrible but will definitely be going back.
