Mallyons Executive Villas

We stayed here for nine days on our first visit to Adelaide. The property (number 8) was a french style villa added on to an older villa. The older part contained the bedrooms, bathroom and living room, while the newer part was one enormous room containing kitchen and dining areas, and with french doors leading outside. Outside was a courtyard with table and chairs set under a large tree - very French. The property was well furnished and clean and we had a comfortable stay. The property was very handy to the CBD - only a 15 minute walk, and mostly through parks. In the other direction, the suburb of Norwood was only a 20 - 30 minute walk and there were supermarkets, restaurants and shops. The only problem area was the road noise in the bedrooms. Being at the back of the property, the bedroom overlooked a street which was a clearway access to the CBD until 9am and because of this, the traffic, including buses, started around 5.30am and continued until 9. The single glazed windows and wooden shutters could not keep out the noise of the traffic. .
