We booked two rooms last minute at the Green Stone Boutique hotel in the heart of Armenia’s Areni wine region after our original plans fell through. It is a few minutes off the highway in the town of Yeghegnadzor. As our GPS took us through some unfinished dirt roads, we were questioning our decision and the we got to the hotel which is a little oasis of greenery. We had two rooms for 3 guests. Family room was amazing with a large balcony and spectacular views. Deluxe room was good, although a lot smaller. Breakfasts (included) were excellent, and we were told by other guests that that dinners were also very good, although we did not sample these as we ate off site. Pool and garden were great places to sit and wind down after a full day. Hosts were very friendly and helpful - present yet respectful of privacy. Things to know - payment is cash only. Also, there are only 6 rooms so it is not a place for those looking for action and meeting lot’s of people.

An Oasis with Great Views

The best experience I ever had in a gueshouse. It has amazing staff who is very helpful. They have great coffee, excellent homemade healthy breakfast which was much better than most typical high end hotel chains serve. The shower gel and shampoo were organic and EU made, which was a big plus. The interior design, mood, garden calmness make you love this place and bever wish to leave.

Outstanding experience far from the city crowd

The Green stone boutique hotel is a true gem. it is home away from home. the friendly and helpful hosts tend to your needs with so much care adding to your holiday feel experience. I would recommend this accommodation  to all. 
The food is phenomenal, a breakfast in the gorgeous garden was such a delight.

A Gem

We stayed over at this hidden gem after a really memorable wine tasting at the famous Old Bridge winery which is a 5 minute drive from this B&B. We booked the family room which is definitely the best room they have at the property. There’s no way to describe the sense the awe you feel when you walk into this room and look out at the hills. It’s only something you can experience when you’re there. The property is super cute and the hosts are really friendly. The breakfast in the morning was one of the best breakfasts we had during our entire stay in Armenia. We only did one day and really regretted not staying a few more nights. You could spend days at the property taking in the views. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a place away from the city and in the middle of greenery and the hills.

Stunning Views

I am so glad we decided to spend our winter holidays with friends in a place which might be less popular among the locals. As a matter of fact, we spent a great time in Yeghegnadzor and in this unique B&B. We booked the precious family room in the mansard roof with a separate entrance and balcony with a gorgeous view. What one feels when enters this cozy B&B is that the hosts made sure to provide the best of everything to the guests: food, amenities, and facilities. This is a great place for those who search for silence/relaxation as well as for those who are interested in historical sites and nature. My special thanks to Karmen for the smile and her friendly reaction to any request we had. Thank you and see you soon!

An Island of Hospitality, Style and Delicious Food

We had a wonderful stay at green stone b&b. Carmen was such a great host. She offered fruits from her garden. The breakfast was truly fantastic, varied and of great quality. The room we stayed in was excellent, the bed comfortable, very clean including great bathroom, and the whole place very quiet. We enjoyed meeting Carmen and her husband, what a great place. One of the best in our long trip through Georgia and Armenia!

Absolutely excellent

This was the perfect day : after a day-long hike in Spitakavor, we arrived at Karmen's own little paradise which she gladly shares. The candles were lit, a fire on, jazz playing, superb diner of home-made fresh food on the table, sauna was ready... Karmen is attentive to your well-being and to every comforting details, furnishing the room with a huge bed, great linen, bahtrobe & slippers, courtesy tea & biscuits... 
Both the house and garden are lovely. We did not use the pool but it boasts a fantastic view on the mountains. 
The breakfasts were a real feast with pancakes and other hot from the oven pastries.
Karmen offered every advice and made our stay a moment or full relaxation ! I wholeheartedly recommend her B&B. It is really worth the somewhat difficult road to reach it.



Better than home

Green Stone is a small bed and breakfast in a private home in Yeghegnkadzor, Armenia.
We spent one night here on our travels from visiting Khor Virap and Noravank on our way to Goris. 
Carmen and Gagik treated us like visitors to their home and greeted us with a glass of local wine on the balcony. They fired up the sauna to send us relaxed to bed and greeted us with a home cooked breakfast in the garden. 
Lovely rooms with shared, clean bath.
Finding Green Stone was the only challenge. We had overlooked the instruction to call the owner to get personal guidance the last bit of the way. Once we made phone contact we were escorted safely there.
