25 reviews17 of us stayed here on a school trip from the UK with teenage boys... it is a charming family run hotel (more than a hostel in the traditional sense) where the owners did everything to make us feel welcome and cared for. We had a couple of boys who suffered from travel sickness and the hostel kindly washed their clothes for a minimal price. They helped us order in pizza one night when we were all too tired to venture out and set up the dining area for us. The place is conveniently close to the coach terminal, so that we could walk there easily with luggage and is about a 15 minute walk from the centre of town. Apparently the rooms at the front of the hostel were a little noisy from the road so maybe take earplugs, but the ones at the back were just fine. The aircon worked really well thankfully! Surrounding local 'tiendas' or shops, were helpful and well stocked for snacks and supplies. There is nothing fancy or luxurious about the place but it is absolutely perfect as an economic, friendly base from which to explore Salta and the surrounding area.
