Pueblo Del Rio Mountain Lodge & Spa

Surely someone has reviewed this place since 2018? Well, if not, here goes… We booked a cabin (cabaña) on AirBnB and read between the lines that it was part of a mini low-key resort right on the banks of the Mendoza River. Route 7 is a very long road, stretching from at least Mendoza to Chile, so we were worried about finding it. Google maps got us right to the entrance - set back on a dusty track after you’ve past the Potrerillos reservoir (if travelling from Mendoza). Arriving on 03/04 we were definitely out of season and had the place pretty much to ourselves. The staff were still very attentive and we could have eaten in the restaurant (pizzas, steaks, salads) and swum in the pool (10.30-20.00). Prices were fine (8,500 pesos for a meal - £8.50). The cabin (number 12) was a magnificent beast! Huge for 4 of us, and all wood so it smelled lovely and had interesting nooks and crannies everywhere. Two bathrooms! And we had a BBQ area, and three separate decks overlooking the river. It was beyond fabulous. Kitchen facilities were fine - the usual hot plates, counter-top even, kettle and toaster. Had a fridge too. But the view. The river. The stars. I could live here. What more can I say?
