Cabañas Luces De La Selva

Staying here was a very cool experience as it's like you sleep in the jungle. Not sure if it's the trees, the rain, the bed or all of the above, I had the best sleep in a long time at this resort. It's a bit rustic with minimal infrastructure (only a pool and a tiny lobby). You won't see staff there or even other guests. The cabin was clean and roomy (though a bit dated). The staff at the lobby was very helpful and attentive but he only spoke Spanish. Continental breakfast was good too and they served it at your cabin. The only issue we had was it's a bit outside of the town and getting a taxi there and out could be problematic (but the staff can help you call one). Though we knew this before booking, so we managed it okay. Also, you may need to at least have some basic Spanish to make communication easy. Btw, if you stay there, you can walk to the nearby El Quincho del Tio Querido for a good BBQ dinner.
