DoDo Suites (across the street from the Dodo Hotel) is located on a great street if you're looking for restaurants, cafes, and a lively crowd of Argentinian vacationers. The suites themselves are bedrooms about the size of the bed with tiny bathrooms attached. The suites offer no facilities other than the rooms, but presumably you'll be at the beach all day and having a typically late dinner in the evening. The one person behind the reception desk was friendly and, when we had a problem, was pleasant and helpful. They offer free wifi, but it's *very* slow: I clocked about 1mbps for downloads, and a tenth of that for uploads. So, you'll be able to retrieve your email so long as it doesn't have a big attachment, but don't expect to be watching videos. To be fair, from what I can tell you're unlikely to do much better elsewhere in the city, although the Sheraton has a 5mbps up and down option for a few dollars a day -- plus a room at several times the cost. For a clean, well-located basic place to stay, Dodo Suites is a good value.
