Why it’s called the Amsterdam beats me, there’s nothing vaguely Dutch about it. The location is very good, basic cleanliness and staff attention fantastic, down to tripping over the floor polisher on the way to breakfast. It does fall down there, however. It’s quite expensive and the breakfast is very disappointing. Nothing hot offered, it’s the basic, boring pastries and toast with some ham and cheese slices. I suspect the elevator is their Manuel. It’s ludicrously tiny and moves at a pace that would make a parliament blush. Also, if someone recommends a nearby restaurant called Manolos, or something, do not go. You have been warned.
