Hotel Upsala

My experiences at the hotel were similar to those of davidh384 but I enjoyed the stay. Some knowledge of Spanish is needed here, as the people who run the place don't speak much, if any, English. Luckily I knew barely enough (mostly from school 20 years ago) to be able to get by, and though my speaking was terrible, they understood what I was trying to say. When I simply asked someone at the desk about the wifi not working in my original room upstairs, they moved me to a room downstairs and closer to the lobby. I still had to go to the lobby for reliable internet access but I appreciated the gesture. Big tour groups of Argentines also stayed there at the same time as me. I was once trapped in the lobby when one of them arrived for check in. From my room, I heard a group gathering and having breakfast before 7 am, which was fine for me since I also needed to be up early. For the heat, at least it my room, I could open the window for some relief. Nice that the tv had many channels, including the ones carrying the NFL playoff games. It is interesting that the front desk gives you the tv remote control when you check in. Nice location close to the main street and they accept credit cards, one of the least expensive lodging options that I saw that do so. Great that I was able to find and book them just 1 day in advance, during a busy tourist season and after I needed to make a sudden change in plans with my trip.
