The excellent care of Matías and Pablo made us feel as if we were staying at home, even on the day we left as it was before breakfast time they kindly left us a table prepared with things for breakfast.

Very friendly and attentive, but the place is very basic, it doesn't correspond to a 3-star hotel, I think 1, in terms of quality of beds, saunas, cleaning, e.g. bathroom hongo, used saunas and stamped ones, burnt ampoules. No oil and no cleaning either. The breakfast too basic solo bread without bread or natural juice (only an envelope) and no jam, cheese, eggs... it doesn't correspond to a 3-star hotel, we have to be clear about what you're going to do, for me it was very disappointing because I had a spectacle and I'm not used to sitting in places like those.

It's a family hotel. Very well located: on the way to the glaciers. Room with furniture and very functional distribution. We were welcomed and stayed very kindly. While we were there we were advised with different concerns. We recommend it!

Recommended accommodation

Having made the reservation through a portal, I arrived at the hotel, the room was not ready so they suggested I leave my suitcases at the reception so as not to waste time, so I did and left the excursion on my return at the end of the afternoon, communicating that they were not taking place because they gave my room to another passenger.

Irresponsible is the answer.

It was far from the village, with little breakfast and the worst part was having to pay in cash, no credit cards, normal rooms, and to climb up to the bedroom floor a few wooden stairs that are impossible to climb loaded with suitcases.

Family hotel

The only advantage is the kindness of the staff, they are very available even to arrange small excursions. It is very far from the centre, there is no nearby service and there are no public transport. The rooms are simple, the beds uncomfortable and the cleaning is quite summarised. It is not worth what it costs. Dignity breakfast, other meals are to be avoided!

It's not worth the price.

The owner is Swiss and very friendly and friendly. The rooms are large and the bathroom is normal. The place is very quiet. The staff is very friendly, although the questions of the ice cream parks about the form of payment and what to visit do not have much idea. The breakfast was tasty and of poor quality, some crossanes, juice of solvent powders, small toasts....

Beautiful property in El Calafate. Rooms were spacious, clean and fresh. Juan Carlos is a wonderful host and really made you feel like you were part of the family.

It is located on the hillside so it does have some beautiful views over the bay.

Room was serviced every day, clean bath and hand towel provided and the bed was super comfy.

Breakfast was simple - fresh buttery croissants, tea and coffee but just enough to get you going for the day.

Downside is it is a bit of a walk into town - 30-40 minutes so make sure you leave the house prepared in case of any unexpected change in the weather (if you do decide to walk it).

Overall, it is a lovely property to stay at (especially if you are there for 3+ nights and like to get away from the 'hustle and bustle' of being in the main town and travelling with a companion) but I would still love to stay again even if travelling solo.

Koi Mahik

It's a nice hotel in the center of town, a mile down the main street, a very clean, well-equipped family-owned bungalow, you can cook if you want, friendly staff, decent breakfast.
