My husband and I joined 2 other couples for a week of sailing in Antigua.  After a couple of days on the boat, I got motion sickness, and we decided to stay on land.  We made a reservation around 6:30 pm and arrived around 9:30.  Since it is a Villa, there was no one there.   Our driver called the number on the gate and Francella came within 5 minutes.  My husband had to go back to the boat to get some clothes and toiletries.  Francella saw I was not feeling well and sent her helper home to get some ginger drink.  She sat with me for about an hour while my husband went to get our things.  When he returned he found us sitting and laughing and watching TV.  The next morning Francella came to check on me, but I was still sleeping, so her helper, Bobby, drove my husband into town to get some cash and supplies.  Later that day we went to meet our friends at OJ's and Bobby drove us there too.  Francella was in town that day and she heard  we were at OJ's so she came by to check on us.  We stayed another night and she offered to drive us anywhere we needed,  We rejoined our friends on the boat that day, and the next day, Francella called my husband's cell phone to make sure I was ok.  We ended up having an amazing week and stayed on the boat the rest of the time.  It really made our trip the kindness we were shown and the way Francella and Bobby helped us when we needed it.  As for the Villa, it was large and clean with a nice kitchen and the grounds were beautiful.   If you ever have a chance, you should stay here!!

Beautiful Grounds and Spectacular Hospitality

We didn't want a resort holiday, and wanted to experience genuine Caribbean life.If you are like us, this could be the place for you. It is a gated community: an oasis of pretty pastel coloured villas in a wonderful garden full of brightly coloured tropical flowers, a pool, and a pond with friendly fat ducks quacking round. You wake up to the most incredible vistas. 

We had a warm Caribbean welcome from Veronica and Francella who were full of useful tips and advice. The villas are on the West Coast a short way to several beaches, yet only about half an hour from St John's. There are some lovely beach restaurants nearby - we ate at Denis' several times, and Jacqui O's. You are quite close to a supermarket at Jolly Beach which although not big, has most things that you need. The supermarket takes credit cards but unusually also requires photo ID.

We cooked in a few nights, and the kitchen has most things including a large fridge/freezer. The local fish is delicious. Small niggle, but for a week's rental it would be good to provide salt, pepper, oil, and kitchen paper towel as otherwise you end up buying too much for a week and don't really want to put it in the luggage. Laundry is next door to the Office building and costs 20 EC $ for a load and another 20 EC $ to dry. However we saw no need to use the drier as they kindly provide washing lines and pegs, and with the Caribbean heat, everything is dry within an hour or two! 

The villa is very spacious and comfortable with lots of cupboard space and plenty of charge points. The Wifi is free and fast. There is air conditioning in every room which works very well, but the windows have traditional louvring and there are ceiling fans, and we found that much better as it nice to have a breeze going through the house,

It is the complete antithesis of a resort all-inclusive and hurrah for that! Thank you for a lovely stay

Caribbean Home from Home

It was amazing and when we requested a return for next year , we were very disappointed that it s all booked up. That only means t is being given away too cheap and will attract the wrong kind of clientele really a shae

Victory Villas are spacious, comfortable, immaculate, and set in a gorgeous garden. Linen and plenty of towels are changed very frequently.The small fresh water pool is in the garden - I think I was the only swimmer there over Easter!There is no sea view, but the surrounding hills are lovely to look out onto.The beach is only a 5 minute walk down a quiet road, and the beach itself is usually deserted. It is a most beautiful beach! On the few occasions that there were local people holding parties or barbecues there - usually at a weekend - all is completely cleared away after, absolutely no litter or rubbish to be seen. There is a beach bar at one end - Dennis's - where snacks & lunches are available. Also just behind, there is a small lane leading to yet another lovely beach. These beaches are very quiet, and there are no watersports available. 
At the villas, there is always plenty of friendly help available from Veronica in the office, and  Francella the owner, who is also often available to help. 
It is a good area to be in, as the shops and eating houses are only a few minutes down the road at Jolly Beach, and a car is necessary.
We are looking forward so much to returning!

Beautiful, peaceful

Haven't stayed s of yet but we checked it out while in Antigua and that's where we are staying during our 20th visit next March. The grounds are gorgeous an the villas are so nice I just wanted to change my location immediately.We were staying at Catamaran which is worn down an old an the units drabby and dated.   We can not wait until next March to experience this lovely place ourselves.  Veronica the owner/operator is a lovely woman; she even walked to the beach with us to show how close it really is to the villas.Also it is a gated property so it looks rather secure.
