Based on the current situation the hilton is still  the best choice for an overnight. A lot of guards give the guest a feeling of security. The restaurant is very good and offers a variety of food - including buffet with local and international dishes. The house needs to be redecorated...

Old House - still the better choice

Close to the airport and located in a quiet place with excelent views to the Mediterranean sea and a grove, it's a great choice. Rooms are comfortable, and very clean. The atmosphere is warm and all the staff are charming, helpful, with an excelent costumer service There is a lovely outer terrace to relax having a "thé à la menthe" and looking at the Mediterranean sea, and good restaurants to eat.

High service quality and comfort. A great choice

Having to visit Algiers every year at least once, I have stayed at the Hilton and the Mecure/Ibis Aeroport and in my opinion the Hilton is a lot nicer.

It is true that the Hilton Hotel is in need of some renovation in keeping with the Brand name and I am please to tell you that this is currently being undertaken with the complete closure of the hotel just after my latest visit in Feb/Mar 2017.

A true fact is that the position of the Hotel, although ideal for the Exhibition Centre, is a little isolated and there is not a great deal to occupy any free time in the immediate vicinity, however, a 10 minute walk down to the mall helped break the isolation and there is a food court there with a variety of foods available to break the monotony of the somewhat limited hotel menu.

In terms of my latest stay, everything was excellent, ample size room, comfortable big bed and nice size balcony overlooking the sea. 

The Hilton also offered a tasty and varied breakfast, excellent free WiFi, attentive reception staff and great service all around, for my visit I had a 5 nights stay that had no issues at all, in fact the only slight downside was on one night the bar ran out of Vodka !!

As I mentioned earlier, the hotel is now undergoing complete renovation and I only hope that I can still afford to stay here again next Feb/March.

1- Great location for business, it could be the best hotel yet the renovation works are impacting very negatively the living standards 2- Limited choice of food variety 3- Super helpful staff from reception to the lobby café places (indoors/outdoors)

The staff is so superb it would take many pages to detail its various delights, it needs to be experienced rather than written about it. 

The service is impeccable, it really feels like being at home. The Hotel's attention to detail for the duration of my stay was exceptional. From the initial welcome to the breakfast in the morning, it was a great experience.

The lobby area is magnificently appointed although some parts of the hotel are under refurbishment. 

Al the staff is very service minded, well informed and friendly, its attitude is impeccable, special thanks to the reception team.

Hilton Alger, a true home away from home experience.

Excellence in Customer Service – Real 5* star Service!

The hotel is definitely not up to the Hilton standard.  The place is in desperate need of renovations (which they are starting). The breakfast is disgraceful - everything is straight out of a can...nothing is fresh.  Not worth the approx 20 US$ price.    Do not stay here.
