Alanya Sunway Hotel

I have been to Alanya many times, staying at more expensive hotels. This time, I stayed for a week at Sunway and was initially unsure what to expect from a two-star hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is perfectly located by the best beach, No. 1, and OCCO Beach Club, very close to a good local MIGROS store, a bus stop, and the city center. There is a roof terrace. Many guests were from Scandinavian countries, with some returning customers, which speaks to the hotel’s appeal. The staff were incredibly friendly and quickly resolved any minor issues that arose, making me feel well taken care of throughout my stay. The breakfast was simple but tasty and completely sufficient for me. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although the air conditioning wasn’t very strong. There is an extra charge of €7 per day for AC and €2 per day for the safe, which is important to know. On one side of the building, sunlight can shine through early in the morning, but it is possible to change rooms if you are sensitive to light — as for me, I had a sleep mask for extra darkness and didn’t have an issue. I also suggest bringing a plastic cup for your toothbrush, a rope to hang wet clothes on the balcony, and a beach towel (otherwise, you can buy everything you need cheaply at Migros). I truly loved my stay thanks to the professionalism and warm hospitality from the staff and the owner, Mr. Mehmet. Overall, a good value and cozy hotel that I would gladly return to.
