NH Collection Madrid Suecia

This is a really nice hotel within easy walking distance of the key attractions, restaurants and bars. Being on a side street meant it avoided some of the bustle and noise. The receptionist, Anna, could not be more helpful on check in and walked us through places to visit. The doorman also could not have been nicer and more helpful (so sorry, did not catch his name). We were upgraded to a larger room with queen bed which was really nice of them. The room was very nice, a good size, nice bathroom and great shower. Breakfast had a good selection though you had to explicitly request cooked eggs of your choice, so would have been nice if waiter/waitress had asked, but otherwise definitely worth including. Unfortunately, the rooftop bar was closed for refurbishment but they were really helpful and reserved us a place at the other NH Gran Via hotel just an easy 10 mins walk away. As a NH resident, we got free entry and even returned on our last night - wonderful location, especially at night, and brilliant Sangria (plus worth going just to laugh at all the Instagrammers at sunset!). Little touches like turndown at night, chocolates and sweets in your room, excellent shower and great main downstairs bar (get the Mediterranean garlic prawns with your beer, you won’t regret it!). Overall, lovely place, great location and will definitely return.
