The Westin Pasadena was chosen over other hotels that I’ve stayed in, within the Pasadena area, mainly because of the requirements of the stay, which were: location (hotels proximity to the 210 freeway); possibility of an earlier check-in; ease and safety of securing my vehicle for a very early morning departure; and the dependability of the Westin brand to offer above the norm amenities and service. The Westin Pasadena delivered the requirements of the stay, with a few added touches. The style of the entrance to the hotel and grandeur of the lobby area was reminiscent of that “old Pasadena charm”. The warm and personal welcome by the staff, soothed some of the travel weariness, while the clean, spacious and well-appointed accommodations (with an extra cozy bed) added up to a lovely night of rest and relaxation. Early the next morning the car was delivered and off I went. Details: The bedroom area had plenty of closets and drawers to place your belongings, a leather seating area next to the window, a small refrigerator, an iron with ironing board, and a safe. If there was anything missing it was - bottled water - as none were placed in the room. The bathroom was roomy with a large mirror, vanity, tub/shower combo and plenty of those thick white cotton towels.
