The receptionist looked surprised when our group of 5 adults arrived to the Hotel Gregory about 8:15am on a public holiday Monday after a long 20+ hours of flying from Australia seeking to check in to at least 1 of our rooms early & were pleased to find both rooms available. They were sparsely decorated but had the essentials. After a lovely hot shower with decent water pressure we set off to explore Zurich for the day. After 8 hours walking around we came back to the Hotel and slept soundly in comfortable beds. Our 3rd floor rooms faced the main road but the outside noises didn't disturb our sleep. The only drawback was the too warmer room temperature which seemed to be set at about 25, making for a hot night's sleep. The Hotel appears to be in the seedier side of town but we felt safe during the daylight hours when we wandered around. If I was travelling in a group I'd stay there again.
