This is not a 5* star hotel at all but it is not meant to be. It’s a budget hotel and fantastic. The staff are very friendly and appear to speak every language under the sun. They cannot be more helpful and always seem to want to help. The breakfast is very continental, a help yourself buffet basically but a very value for money offering. There is a bar that serves beer and soft drinks and some other things but also serves coffee etc. It is full of school groups and young people but they are well organised and not an issue at all. The beds are comfortable and the location is great. It’s 15 mins walk from Ostbahnhof and 45 from the Branbenburg gate 35 from checkpoint Charlie. It is an excellent place to stay and we will be coming back. An excellent place. There is a U Bahn 5 mins away (Heinrich Heine). Lovely outdoor area and also a huge screen showing sport most of the time. Great place.
