Flemings Hotel Frankfurt-Central

My husband and I stayed for two nights at the Flemings Hotel in Frankfurt-Central. I'm so glad I found this hotel. The location was first rate, easy to get around all of Frankfurt with nearby transit options. It was also walking distance to shopping and restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of our double comfort room. I knew it would be compact but it was well designed with a comfortable bed and two sitting areas, including a small table. Storage was ample and the bathroom was clean and functional. Loved the kettle in the room. Staff were super friendly and common areas were clean and inviting. We had no trouble using the self check-in. Just make sure to have your documents on hand to complete the requested info. We didn't get breakfast, but liked that there was a grocery of sorts on site if you needed anything last minute. The hotel provides a nice digital guide upon check-in with more info about the hotel and city. For being so close to the train station, I was worried the room would be noisy, I'm happy to report our room was very quiet and it was easy to get a good night's rest. Several reviews have commented on shady characters around the hotel, which almost made me second guess booking the hotel. Yes, there are some homeless people in the area as with any transit hub, but they kept to themselves closer to the station. There is a lot of construction around the train station, which does make it extra crowded in areas but otherwise nothing unusual for a massive train station. I can see how it might be overwhelming for travelers not used to an urban, busy location. I felt safe walking around the area even on on my own and I went to the station regularly to use the Ubahn/SBahn or grab coffee. The location can't be beat for someone headed to the airport or wanting a central HQ while in Frankfurt. Overall, a great stay and great value for your money.
