We had stayed in Convention Square earlier in our trip, but the location of this hotel, while quite nearby, was totally different in character, feeling somewhat more private and separate from the busy traffic on the highway. I saw two life birds from my hotel window, including a Red-faced Mousebird, which was unexpected at this location. Of course it is also just next door to all the attractions of the V&A waterfront. The food at the hotel was excellent. My husband especially enjoyed the Kingklip, a fish we don't have in the US. The hotel arranged our airport transport very efficiently; the driver was actually there waiting for us slightly before the time we had scheduled. We had only a couple of minor issues, such as being unable to find the (well-hidden) hair dryer until we were already packing to leave.
