Hotel Sapphire

We reserved two double rooms for a week since we were traveling with our sons. It was a choice surrounded by fear because of the reviews that were not up to the standard we were looking for. To our surprise these reviews were way below reality, probably they were added before some more recent restorations. The hotel was nice, clean, and the rooms were clearly refurbished. The rooms maybe were not very spacious, but were not too tight. A cosy bed in one room, and two single beds in the other, nice little bathroom, a kettle, a new but a bit small TV though the channels were predominately Turkish. Breakfast was modest but ok, but sometimes we had difficulties finding a table. Wifi was fair enough and of course the location was great, in the heart of the historical center very close to Aya Sofia and the tram station, and very close to the bosphorus of course. Housekeeping was very good and the reception staff were very helpful, they made sure we get the rooms as early as possible since we arrived in an early flight. Prices were a bit high but we understand it is the case in the historical area especially at high season. Thank you very much and looking forward for our next stay.
