Excellent value for money in a very central location. Nice clean rooms, well stocked with toiletries. Nice comfy bed with fresh linen. Reception staff very welcoming and polite and helpful. Don't be put off by the exterior, inside it's lovely. It's just an old building and like many in Budapest, needs some maintenance. does not affect use. Only down side was that some of the showers were not fixed to wall very well and they didn't stay up but the water was hot and fast flowing. Lift may be old but again perfectly functioning and added to the charm of the place. Reminded me of the lift in the Disney riser, tower of terror! Felt very safe in the hotel and surrounding area. Some great bars and cafes very close by and the metro is feet away. The bus stop to the airport bus is about 200m up the street, so convenient. Would recommend and would stay again.
