Really enjoyed our holiday at this hotel. Great location, good facilities, staff friendly. Food good in all restaurants, and an excellent choice for all meals. Variety of restaurants excellent, and no restrictions as to how often we could use the different ones - we went to the Italian restaurant 3 times in our 2 week stay, and twice to the Asian restaurant! Drinks choice and quality was good, wine, beer, spirits and cocktails - loved the iced Lattes. Our room was amazing - we paid extra for the 2 bedroom suite as we had my son with us (age 27), so he wanted his own room and it was cheaper than booking 2 separate rooms... a little bit of noise from the pedestrianised street in front of our room, but it died down and did not impact on sleep. Quite a few shops nearby, all open until late at night which was great for a late night browse for souvenirs. Wifi in room was good, although we could not stream on our device. Huge bed in master room, mattress did sag a bit, could do with an update but was not uncomfortable. Second bedroom had 2 king size beds, mattresses quite firm. Weather was a bit variable, but although cold I did manage to have a swim in the sea... the heated pool was a benefit for this time of year (March). Preferred the beach - access was through the Saray Hotel just across the road... we are not fans of being crammed in on sunbeds round a pool, most of which have towels reserving them from dawn it seems! The hotel/beach staff were excellent in trying to sort you out with sunbeds when it seemed all beds taken. Beach restaurant very good, especially the pizzas! The trips available in resort were great - we did a 2 day overnight Luxor trip, a flight to Cairo for the day, buggy safari and snorkelling to Orange Island. The water at the reef felt a little warmer than the sea beside the hotel! All these tours were booked via booking.com as the price from our tour company in the hotel was a lot higher... the reps will give you lots of reasons to book with them, but we used Egypt tour packages and they were excellent. We would definitely return to this resort and this hotel again.
