Full Sinbad review - Amazing hotel (this is a long review with all of the info I would have liked to know before we went) We Booked through easyJet holidays, great flight, reps present at the airport, paid $25 for the entry visa each, picked up a Vodafone 70gb sim for £20 at the Vodafone airport kiosk before getting on the transfer coach , very easy and quick, they put the sim in for you. There was also an Orange kiosk at the Airport, we chose Vodafone as it had no queue and have had really good coverage even on our day trip to Luxor, the hotel does have wifi but it's spotty so get a sim card for when the WiFi isn't working where you are. Sinbad is only 10 mins from the airport and is 1st drop off, so the tranfer is quick, you will be waiting for people on the coach longer then it takes to get to the hotel We arrived at 10pm ish, check-in was quick, we were advised food would be available at 11pm for late arrivals, the food was piping hot and tasted really nice 😋 Our room no 4082 was quite large, had a lovely pool view, but no balcony. The room itself was clean and tidy, I always take my own antibacterial surface and floor wipes, the surfaces were quite clean, floor was ok, but better once i had antibacterial wiped it, as we don't like outside shoes inside lol, there were no bugs in sight, which is always a bonus. The air-conditioning in the room was really powerful and really kept us cool. The pool towels were provided in the room which was also handy. We had a double bed which was comfortable, the bathroom had clean towels, hand wash, hair dryer, and body wash in the shower, towels were changed daily. There was also a TV in the room which had some decent English movie channels, channel list included in pics uploaded Our housekeeper was Mohamed Abd Elham, he was amazing, always gave us plenty of water, and toilet paper, cleaned our room so well knowing how particular we were, he was always ready and willing to help, he also made cute towel shapes for us on the bed To be honest ALL OF THE STAFF make Sinbad what it is, from the reception staff, the guys that help with the baggage, the bar tenders and servers inside and out, the excursion guys, the animation team, the restaurant teams, the life guard and pool guys, we were blown away by how helpful, happy, fun the staff are The hotel itself is ABSOLUTELY HUGE, the grounds are beautifully kept, and it's so clean, there are staff all around constantly cleaning The food has been lovely, really tasty with so much choice, always piping hot, we ate in Gusto, Botanica, the beach restaurant and the Oriental restaurant all were fab. You can book the al a carte restaurants as often as you like in the AM using the screens in reception. I'm not a drinker but my husband really enjoyed the drinks and tried many cocktails, also he said the beer is nice and so was the fizzy drinks. I stuck to bottled water with the odd slushy which are available from the pool bars in different flavours...yuuum 😋 I've lost count how many pools and slides are here but I'll upload a picture of the map, there are plenty of places to sunbathe. It would be nice to have smoking and no smoking sections, as being gassed out by fag smoke is not what I'd call fun, however there are plenty of places that are secluded like around the back where the slides end that are not too busy and more spaced out. Theres lots of really comfy sun loungers to use, we had no issues getting sun loungers, theres losds available. The entertainment at 9pm is FANTASTIC (we don't usually attend entertainment nights) however it's amazing here, so much so we went most nights, the Animation team are brilliant, There is also stuff to do every day here, I'll include a picture of the itinerary, we didn’t take part in anything ourselves though, but it was nice to have the option The beach is literally across the road, it's a beautiful location lots of sun beds, with and without shade, theres also a pier with more sun loungers, and the beach restaurant which does lovely food, and all you can eat ice cream and slushies, and a floating deck with a pool The gym is one of the best gyms we have come across at a 4* hotel, all of the equipment worked, there is a variety of machines, listed below with pictures, if you are into fitness, you do not have to miss out on your workouts while you are here, we really loved this 4x treadmill's 1x cross trainer 2x bikes 1x laying leg curl machine 1x leg extension machine 1x dual lat pull down and seated row machine 1x vertical press machine 1x dual peck deck and rear delts fly machine 1x seated row machine 1x lat pull down machine 1x smith machine 1x cable machine 2x benches 1x decline bench Various dunbells from 2.5kg to 35kg There is also a spa, which we didn't use, but it's here if you want it, i've heard the messages are good The shops at the back of Sinbad are great, the pharmacy at the end on the left sell Antinal x24 for £1 per box (see pics for pharmacy picture), the shop on the right hand side as you walk out of the aqua park has really cheap souvenirs with price's, serry street has lots of shops that open at night that sell great souvenirs also, it felt very safe to wonder round at night. There is a shop at the back of sinbad called Sun Flower (see pics), Aly who owns the shop is really lovely, sells great perfumes, and magic Egyption potion trio for the skin, it's done wonders for my 48 year old face and neck, so I highly recommend you visit his shop and ask him to make your face lol 😍 As soon as we arrived we purchased Antinal and I can confirm we did get Egypt belly 💩, but this did not ruin our holiday or stop us from eating the fantastic food. We didn’t actually use the Antinal just the Tesco own imodium which worked a treat, we met many people from different hotels with the same issue, so it really is an Egypt thing not a Sinbad thing, were home now back to our usual food and diets and both now ok We took $ to tip with, and found that most shop's take English, Euro, Dollars and Egyption currency which was really handy, Spinnys is across from the front of sinbad only took Egyptian currency but you can pay by card, we got our chocolate from there ..malteesers and twix bars lol The weather was scorchio, in the low to mid 30's every day, we didn't need any cardigans in the evenings as it was warm still We took mosquito bands from Home Bargains, and Odomos mosquito repellent cream from Amazon, and can confirm we only got 1 bite each and that was from our trip to Luxor, we had no mosquito bites at Sinbad, the wrist band and cream worked fantastically well together The night before check out we paid €25 for a 5pm late check out as our pick up wasn't until 6pm, we got to spend the whole of the last day comfortable soaking up the rays of the holiday with a nice shower to freshen up before we left, it was totally worth it We had a FABULOUS 2 weeks and 100% would definitely come back to Sinbad if we come back to Egypt 🇪🇬 .... highly recommend Sinbad Please take no notice of the bad reviews, go with an open mind and enjoy your holiday, there is nothing to worry about 😀 I hope the above information is helpful to those of you who haven't been yet
