Topaz Beach Hotel

Although the premises are a little dated, the ambiance, location, staff and the pool make this place exceptional. Of particular note was the breakfast staff member, Devon. His attention to detail and care was super. The hotel is also located just across the road from the beautiful restaurant Luckys.

Brilliant beach location with a very clean pool. Family run business making you feel comfortable. Food good, room very clean. Staff very attentivecand eager to help. Wifi excellent downstairs. Would recommend this hotel.

I stayed 2  weeks at Topaz Beach Hotel this time.
Everything was perfekt.

The location is perfect for a lovely holiday. The staffs are even nicer. Food is great and we get what we like. We had a lovely time over there. If you cross the fence and you are in the beach. Although there is a nice pool as well to enjoy.

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights whilst touring Sri Lanka. Best thing to say a about the hotel is its location. Just behind it is negombo beach and while sitting in the hotel we can just stare out at the beach and sea. The rooms were nothing fancy but there were clean and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helped out whevener needed. Would really recommend it, great value overall.

We have stayed before, and it was nice to return.
They accommodated us very well when we had to change the dates of our stay unexpectedly.
Comfortable rooms, basic, but everything you need, and try to fulfill requests for anything extra you may require.

We spent 7 nights here during the sad terrorist attacks over Easter.
The staff were so kind, caring and helpful to us during this period. They were feeling so much pain and yet they all had time to assist us in every way possible.

Big airy room, lovely pool area and nice breakfasts plus good curries in the restaurant.

I highly commend Gaston, an extremely professional staff member at Reception, plus Susantha, from housekeeping.

Direct on the beach, excellent location. The hotel itself is a little weard out, hasn't been refurbished since several years. Excellent breakfast, very friendly staff. Ideal for those who have limited budget but willing to stay on a perfect location

Sitting on the terrace enjoying the view whilst having an excellent breakfast couldn't ask for more. Tranquil and relaxing.  Bed was comfy. Staff as usual in Sri Lanka  were amazing. Good value for money.

I do not usually stay alone in hotels, however every one from the driver who collected me from the airport to the reception staff and room staff were all so kind and friendly. Food excellent delicious. Staff always helpful. I would stay here again.. Beach golden sands just next door.
In fact I M returning here before I leave.
Would recommend to my friends.

Friendly Family Hotel

Great location and value

Good location just by the beach. Also, there are restaurants and shop nearby in Negombo. The staff is very kind and helpful. One incident I can tell is that I was a bit shocked by the questionnaire presented to my on my first breakfast sitting by one of the staff. "Already a questionnaire?!", I said. "Yes, it is to see if we can improve things during your stay.", was the reply. Excellent way to meet the customer's expectations I would say! I wanted a kettle in my room and it was delivered the same day. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet consisted of local cuisines and was good. The small swimming pool can be a bit crowded in the afternoon. But overall I would stay here again.

Lovely family run hotel just by the beach

A very nice and cozy hotel with friendly staff that was helping me with road directions and getting me a taxi. The breakfast buffet consisted of local food and fruits. The location is next to the beach and very close to restaurants and some convenient stores. I was pretty happy with my room. The sea view was great and the AC cooled very nicely. A very good value hotel I would say!

Beautiful people in a lovely location at a very sad time.

The hotel itself was very basic, but this is what we expected. Hotel is right on the beach front, which we loved. Great neighbourhood with lots of eateries. Special mention for the staff there, very nice, very attentive, very professional. Great choice if you're on a budget or just want a place to stay for the night.

Excellent staff, decent large room

Regarding the price hotel is OK.  Breakfast was good. Nice garden and swimming pool. Beach area is clean. Room facility is just normal. Location is very good.

It's the staff that make a good hotel. The staff at Topaz Beach work hard to look after the guests. Our stay was very good and we will go back when we visit again.

Great hotel in great location plus pool!

We really liked the property. Good value for money. The only issue was there was a power cut and the hotel doesn't have its own generator. Not sure how often power cuts occur.
