Parrotel Lagoon Waterpark Resort

We stayed from 13th-20th August. Yes the hotel is a little dated and is certainly not a real 5* The rooms should be cleaner and the food is repetitive. I don’t know if this is standard for Egypt as this was my first time. However, the staff were 100% 5* Everyone was so friendly and could not do enough to be helpful. The entertainment team were always full of energy and smiling. The bar staff were helpful and polite. Hasan near reception was particularly helpful. Reception staff were helpful and the lifeguards were amazing! The lifeguard at the water park in red and white was always nice and helped get sunbeds for us and made my little 6 year old feel safe and Mohammed at the small pool was brilliant. I didn’t encounter one staff member who wasn’t nice and willing to help. The facilities are great. The onsite aqua park is great. Plenty of slides for all ages and swimming activities plus plenty of lifeguards stationed about so it feels safe. The beach bus was great. It allowed us to use the sister hotels facilities at the beach and was a free shuttle bus on a timetable well advertised at reception. There are pools galore all with lifeguards. There are plenty of bars dotted about so it is easy to get your all inclusive and trust me it was hot so we lived off juice and water. It’s not the best place I’ve stayed. The evening entertainment was a bit rubbish but it was something and you can easily leave the hotel for soho or Naama bay in an evening for something different. All in all, a great holiday. It was definitely value for money. All the negative comments/reviews seem a bit OTT if you want top notch luxury you have to pay for it. This hotel/holiday was relatively cheap in comparison to other places we’ve been so it was 100% value for money.
